GM whose never been a player looking for local game

By eyesonlyhacker, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

As the title says, I've been GMing my own game for a year now. But never found a game where I can just be a player. I was hoping someone can point me to a local FaD group that I can join. I live in Bremerton, WA, hoping there is something within 30 miles that runs on Thursday (my only available day). I'm sure if I looked in Seattle I could find something. But that would require me to spend $30 for the ferry or drive a 70 mile round trip to go around.

But if I can make it work then I'll accept it.

I'd encourage you to consider Play-by-Post. Players are not scarce in this system, but if you just become a part of the community (monitor "The Tavern" regularly) you should be able to get in on one before long.

Gamersplane has the largest FFG SW RPG PbP community that I know of with its something like 19 or 20 ongoing games (I've been lucky enough to be a a part of a couple that are multi-year).

This system is so popular at GP because:

1. You get your own sub-forum for your campaign (can be public or private, but either way, you don't have to pour through dozens of other threads to find your game, like they do here).

2. It has an in-post dice roller (no going to a second site for that).

3. It has in-forum, system-specific character sheets (no going to a THIRD site to manage THAT).

4. It has a large, sustained, active, community.

Seems like a new game pops up fairly regularly there. Either way, good luck!

EDIT: infact, looks like a new game just got created.

There is also discord. Voice and dice bots, good community. 2000+ members.

May the force be with you, always....
