Let's design broken 2.0 cards

Poe Dameron

When you reveal your dial, ignore it and instead place Poe anywhere on the field facing whatever direction you want.

Whenever Poe hits an enemy, he may perform a free Boost and/or Barrel Roll, even if stressed, and then make a free attack, regardless of how many attacks he has already made this round.

(I wanted to capture that cinematic element of Poe arriving in the nick of time and then blasting enemy after enemy in rapid succession! If it's too powerful, we'll just bump up his cost a bit.)

How is it no one has posted a pic of the original 1.0 Contracted Scout yet? ?

Force User Only - Rebel (1 Force Charge)

At the start of the engagement phase, if you are declared the target deal 1 Face Up Damage card to that ship, then treat your attack as Range 1 (change all hits to critical hits)

What?

You are declared target? at the start of the engagement phase? That ship? Which? Your attack?

This makes zero sense dude... I get that the wording can be finicky, but it seems you didn't even try. I'm not even sure what is this supposed to do. You are declared the target, or you declare a target? Why deal a damage card, if you turn all hits into crits anyway?

What is this supposed to represent? Do you spend the charge?

Something like this is closer to the language:

Prescient Shot [Force power]

When attacking, you may spend 1 [force] to treat that attack as if it was Range 1.

During the modify attack dice step, you may spend 1 [force] to change all [hit]s to [crit]s.

Start of Engagement Phase (exhaust 1 Force Charge)

1. YOU are the declared target - Yes

a. Attacker deals them self a face up damage card. (Resolve)

2. If not Range 1 treat YOUR attack as Range 1.

a. Any hits change to critical hits

There you go, I understood it exactly the way I wrote it.

"When this ship attacks, instead roll one attack die. On a hit or crit result, the opponent loses. On any other result, you lose."

It's a perfectly balanced upgrade in theory, as it has a 50% chance of helping you or hurting you. But in reality it would be unbalanced at any point value.

Pssh, you have to have opponent in arc? Broken indeed!

"There's..too MANY of them"!

Modification: generic TIE/ln only.

-1 Hull

when this ship is destroyed, discard this card to respawn the ship from any board edge at the start of the next End Phase

added "generic"

Force Manipulation

At the beggining of the activation phase, you may discard this card to choose one of your opponents dials, reveal it and rotate it to a maneuver of your choosing.
