If I buy a 1.0 starter set will I be able to buy parts to use it in 2.0?

You will me able to use the minis, stands, range ruler, and tokens. I believe you can also use the debris but not 100% on that. The cards are pretty much a no-go, but you could use them for reference in causal games.

Personally, If you intend to play Second Edition, I wouldn’t buy a First Edition Core Set right now unless it’s super cheap.

Yes, you can use the miniatures, but they need the new cardboard tokens (the part that sits on the plastic base) and new dials. They will also need the new pilot and upgrade cards.

What stays the same:

• Dice
• Range Rulers
• Most movement templates
