Conversion box no shields, focus, evades?

By jazz1981, in X-Wing Off-Topic

Hey guys i seen some unboxing video of the conversion boxes for rebel, scum and imperial and i just notice theres a bunch of tokens like force , charge, ect but i seen none shields, focus and evades. FFG say that token are made more simpler in 2.0 so if none in the box us veteran player we play with 1.0 tokens till we buy more ships? Or the youtube video i watch maybe skip a cardboad of token with the typical shields and focus and evade maybe? Anyone know if these tokens are in these boxes?

Looks like you will need to get new purchases to get shield tokens and the like. Its kind of frustrating truthfully, but at the same time in 6 months to a year you and the rest of us will likely have enough to fill a bin. I think official events will require you to use the actual tokens but for casual games you can likely just use what you have now. Alternatively you could use a sharpie, or some kind of black marker to mark up the backside of shield tokens for the time being.

I think they're counting on people buying the core set. They also don't have the new damage deck or rulebook in the conversation kits.

There are 4 shields in the core set.

Ah gotcha. Yeah I guess they're expecting us to build up our collection again. I'm unconvinced whether or not I'll buy more beyond the starter and conversion boxes, so I'll just stick with 1.0 tokens.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the miniature less expansions for veteran players would likely still use the same cardboard plates so we might get tokens that way too. That is unless they feel they have to instead make smaller plates with just the ship tokens though that would be a bit of a croc.
