That Yellow Fighter from Star Wars: Resistance
"Hey, we need a new starfighter design."
"Okay, what if, hear me out, we take an old WWII-era fighter and flip the cockpit to face the tail so it'll fly backwards - but forwards!"
"GENIUS!"
I was right! I was right about the wing bend!
Looks like a Crimson Skies plane. Not horrible but not what I’d expect. As long as it performs at a lower level than line fighters I can get used to it
I am thinking The Resistance equivalent of a Z-95 for the game purposes? Maybe.
Where is this from?
Pretty cool looking, even if doesn't quite feel like a Star Wars ship.

Is it, though? I honestly can't tell wtf I'm looking at.

It's a half backwards yellow F4 Corasair. Which actually kinda cooler than it sounds.
Not sure I'm sold on the design of that new fighter yet. Star Wars starfighters have always been inspired by WWII dogfights and fighters, but that yellow one just looks like they strapped a few engines on an actual WWII fighter. It doesn't really look like it fits in.
I wonder if that red-armored trooper will be the "Soontir Fel" ace of the First Order. Assuming it's not just a random special forces unit.

So... it's supposed to be flying toward me? Why do its wings look like they were aligned by the same guy that did the Gold Squadron Y-Wing?

In the Phasma book there was a dude who wore red armor. Totally don't remember his name. But I'd guess it's him.
That spunky kid in the middle with the popped collar, Ezrabutnotezra?

It could be Cardinal, yeah. That was my first thought too. But he should be in the same armor as Phasma, cape and everything.
The red trooper in the image looks like he's wearing different armor than what we've seen in the First Order so far. Though the picture is a bit grainy.

I think so. The fire is going away from the viewer.

Actually, now that I am thinking of it, would love to see Crimson Skies return with an engine like XWM. Played it way back in the FASA days.

That game was so much fun!
Edited by Boom OwlGuy in the red suit looks like a typical TIE/sf pilot, but with more red. Sounds like an ace to me.

This. It's all kinds of asymmetrical?
The top down pic looked very different to me. Has a wing broke off or shrunk and relocated? I'm somewhat dubious of it's aerodynamic performance.

I think the picture cuts off.

I guess it does. And the other rear wing is either obscured by Notezra or too small to see. Seems a bit of weird choice to me.
Interesting ship I suppose. I'd expect seagull issues with that front end.
Here is the first thing I thought of ...
No inspiration here, I'm sure...
PS: Anyone still got some of the CS click figures kicking around? They'd probably be the right scale to adapt to X-wing bases, and convert Epic ship bases to be zeppelins...

I’ve still got all mine. With some digging they can still be found dirt cheap.
A few years ago someone on here (I think) was doing a conversion of crimson skies to the flight path system. The rules for the click base figures were already a sort of proto flight path system anyway.
There was another thread that had someone converting the figs into ships for Star Wars.

Yeah, I think it looks pretty neat but these are subjective opinions.
To me, it feels less like a proper starfighter and more like a hot-rod intended for the outer space version of pod-racing. Maybe we'll even see Han because of that.
