Different paintjob.

Regarding Change of Plans, the article suggests that the opponent returns this round's selected CC to their hand, but the card wording is non-specific.

Reading the card in isolation, the opponent could go through their discard pile a choose a previously discarded card if they want to recover an earlier used one instead of the one they revealed this round.

Thoughts?

You go back to the select command cards phase. In that phase, you must select a card from your hand. Change of Plans just specifically excludes you from using the one that was returned.

I don’t think you can pull one from your discard pile.

Not really. Nothng within “return to the Select Command Card step” would allow them to choose a previously discarded command card.

"When this card is revealed you may discard it to return an opponent's command card to their hand."

It does not specify the one they revealed this turn.

Nothing in the Select Command Card step allows recovering a revealed card either, so we're relying solely on CC text for instruction (much like we do for Standing Orders, or using Implacable to return Vader's token to the pool - both examples of exception processes) .

"The opponent cannot select the command card that was returned to their hand."

Once again, only refers to the card that was returned (regardless where it was pulled from), not something along the lines of "the card they originally revealed this round"*.

* = even if it did say this, recovering from discard would circumvent that restriction, so that would not be the place to have the defining statement of intent - it's the very first sentence on the card that leaves it open to interpretation.

Wrong.

The wording on the card lets you return an opponent's command card. Assuming you are playing a 2 player game, there should only be one opponent, and only 1 command card active in front of them. All other command cards in play are discarded at the end of each round and "cannot be used again this game."

"Cannot" is absolute.

Han's wording is future proofing for multi-player variants.

Emergency Sims only delays the number of wounds for a turn? Am i reading that right?

When do i turn the card sideways and if i "ready" how does that affect it?

Not at all

Exhaust it when you put 1-2 wounds on it during an attack. It keeps you going for a turn and if medics turn up in the future it may act as a stabilizer.

For now it seems to make your troops too out of it to realise they're dead for a short while.

'Dude, I can see right through your chest!'

'Woah!'

They could keep Luke going if things go sideways in a duel.

Ah, good, glad there's no ambiguity then.

That is something I had considered also.

Theoretically, say you had stims on stormtroopers and used it after they activated that turn. Then beginning of next turn, you used Veers' command card to recover them to ready the stims and use it again before your final activation. And I do mean final since you'd take 4 wounds after all that. Not game breaking but gets the most out it with the current cards.

Correct.
