The empire have some different vehicles in current canon that could show up as units, but what is there for the rebels?
Snowspeeder check. Old at-rt's fits fine IMO, but what else is there outside of legends?

Edited by jocke01Converted civilian landspeeders (X-34 in Battlefront II, Ryder Azadi’s landspeeder and the V-35 Courier in Rebels for examples).
Ski Speeders (since they’re technically from the GCW era and have appeared in Marvel’s “Star Wars” comics series).
Speeder bikes (stolen 74-Z’s from RotJ, various in Rebels, etc.)
T2B repulsor tank (Legends, canonized by mobile game and Vader Down).
Cloud Cars (not much evidence for widespread use, but iconic and used in at least one Battlefront II mission)
Rebels used a lot of refurbished vehicles from both sides of the Clone Wars (like the AT-RT). We could see more of them, especially if there’s no plans to expand the game into different eras.
A couple of old Kenner toys (the MLC-3 light tank and Endor Forest Ranger) have been incidentally canonized (mostly through mobile games), but may make for quirky and interesting additions to Legion if FFG needs something to fill a particular role.
I’ll update with more as I think of them.
Edited by WAC47Probably will get the swoops from solo, as well as speeder bikes eventually I would think. Maybe they'll give the old 6 leg clone walkers to rebels, although that's a really big unit.

I don't recognize any of those vehicles from outside the movies.
Speeder bikes could show up, but that would probably just be a mirror unit from the empire.
Cloudcar I doubt unless they bring in starfighters.
I guess some kind of converted speeder might fit.
I doubt the rebels will get a repulsor tank before the empire.

I mean, the Kenner toys are some deep cuts. I’d never seen them until I went down a wookieepedia rabbit hole looking for vehicles. However, Kenner’s toys have been used as inspiration for the new stories (for example, the imperial troop transport in Rebels). They may not be instantly recognizable but they’re a great source material to draw from (same with the old WEG Star Wars rpg sourcebooks). (I have a lot more thoughts on “recognizability” in SW minis games if you want to talk about it. I don’t think it’s a great metric).
The T2-B is from the Empire at War real time strategy game originally. Empire at War faced a similar problem Legion will, which is coming up with units for the Rebels that are better matched in a head on fight against the Empire, while still perserving theme. Obviously I think we’ll see the Occupier for Imps first, but it’s an option for later down the line.
I would hope that the Rebel speeder bikes have different stats/abilities, but I can’t speculate on what that would look like.
I don’t see why cloud cars would be linked to starfighters. They’re atmosphere bound and much closer to Legion scale than starfighter scale.
Landspeeder is definitely my bet for next heavy unit. Iconic and gives the Rebels a heavy ground vehicle unit.

I LOVE the flash speeder!! I’m still holding out hope for Clone Wars era factions (even though I think it unlikely), but otherwise I’d love to see it for Rebels.

I agree, the Clone Wars era have too many cool units and vehicles and I think that this kind of game would have been better for that era than the Galactic Civil War. But well, it's really good too, I can't complain

If you're talking about the X-34 I can't see it being a heavy unit though. It's a small civillian vehicle, isn't armored and doesn't have weapons.
In my opinion it would fit the support role much better and would be a nice counterpart to the 74-Zs. Maybe being a mix of the 74-Z and the AT-RT starting without a weapon (exept for the drivers blasters) and having 3 different hardpoint options, while being very mobile.
Edited by BdolfosI think rebel speeders should not have guns (on the speeder themselves), just whatever the occupants are carrying.
I believe the rebels might get a troop transport in the not too distant future. The rebel troop cart is canon from the movies (*see below) and has been adapted to star wars miniature games before (*see Wizards of the Coast model). I believe this could work similar to the British Loyd/Bren universal carriers of WW2. An unarmed or lightly armed repulsor vehicle with the "armor" special rule that can transport up to 6 troopers providing them heavy cover (move 2). The troops inside would be allowed to shoot out while benefiting from said heavy cover. The opponent would have to choose between shooting the vehicle or the troops inside. This brings up the dilemma of costing it appropriately as the benefits of a "floating bunker" should not be underestimated.

The idea is very cool but it looks absolutely hideous.

Absolutely agree with you there, but just a Wizards of the Coast took some artistic license in designing their version I think FFG can do the same if they decide to give rebels an armoured transport. They can make it look more ruggedized and aesthetically pleasing, then again the Bren Universal carriers weren't the best looking tanks.
Strongly disagree, I love those things - blocky, utilitarian, a bit nonsensical, and very 70's.
I'd prefer they stick with the "asymmetrical warfare" idea at least for the time being - the T-47 shows Rebel engineers can make a serviceable military unit out of civilian vehicles, and I like the idea of them doing "here is a big massive brutal Imperial unit designed and built by a galaxy-spanning war machine, and here is the Rebel counter to it made from spare parts, duct tape, and the Star Wars equivalent of a Honda Accord" rather than just "here is the imperial tank and here is the rebel tank, they have slightly different dice".
I vote for the AAC-1
There were so many possible options for the rebels support units from Legends and they chose the canon (from the Clone Wars) AT-RT option. I love the idea, I love the model. But if that was the choice I wouldn't bet on any Legends items in the near future. There is a ton of old and new canon material to choose from, I'd wager that more Clone Wars vehicles like the AT-TE or Nubian speeders are more likely to appear. As a lover of Empire at War, the T2-B and T4-B would be welcome additions, but I'm not holding my breath.
Likewise on the Imperial side, I don't expect the 2-M Repulsor Tank or TIE Mauler.
The trick is that a lot of the larger tank things would get problematically large on the play area - the scale here is slightly larger than Warhammer 40k with a smaller play area. I think the TIE Mauler would be cool (they made a LEGO set, even!), as would the 2-M tank. However, I think we'll see things more like landspeeders and the SC2-M they made up for Imperial Assault, as well as more made up units similar to that.
Give us the Freerunner!

The 2-M and the IFT-T are actually pretty likely as FFG already released a light version of them in the Hoth Expansion for Imperial Assault.
