So we all love seeing some of our favorite classic characters get name dropped, or even better on card with the update. So far we've seen many of the fan favorites show up but who are you really looking forward to seeing that we haven't seen and why?

For me its Tsuruchi. He was always one of Yoritomo's staunchest supporters in the Alliance and when the time came for the Mantis to form a great clan he was one of the first to swear his allegiance. His backstory of being betrayed by both his mother and fathers families and carving his own little territory out in spite of them, and his love for flipping Samurai culture on its head with his unique archery style and philosophy would play well into a rise of the common man archetype that would fit well in the new setting I think.

Hmmm... I'd like to see either Daidoji Uji (another foil for Hotaru, like a militant Shizue; I'm trying to make a Crane gradient), Yogo Junzo (I still maintain he's Shahai's "grandfather") or Toku (ultimate Rokugani underdog!).

Agreed to most of this, Aramasu while a personal favorite and massively underused (I'm still mad he was essentially killed off camera to make way for the Mantis civil war story that none of us wanted) would be hard to get in most ways to resemble the version we saw in the old game. You could I suppose run with the "guest" who comes to side more with his adopted family than his true family, but without the Scorpion banishment backdrop it becomes harder justify his presence. His age could also be problematic as he should be very young, maybe 6 year old and even that is probably high balling his age, at this point in the story.

I want to see FFG's take on Diagotsu. Especially since I missed the bulk of the story with AEG and had to go back and read a lot of it after the fact.

He's already in. Hantei Daisetsu is Sotorii's younger brother and the nicer one. If he still has proficiency as a Shugenja, I expect him to be getting lessons on Meishodo from that teacher the Unicorn sent to Otosan Uchi. What's her name again? Ah, yes Iuchi Shahai.

Yes, which was why I was so excited to see him mentioned this early in the story arc. I want more of that and to see how he becomes Diagotsu. I missed almost everything up to the point where he became a god and got the Spider Clan officially recognized as a great clan.

Of course I can settle with getting the stories behind the struggles and ultimate failures of all the other characters that bargain with or get seduced by the Shadowlands. I love a happy ending.

Ah, he's already off the path to Daigotsu-hood. In the other timeline, Daisetsu is kidnapped by bloodspeakers and taken to the Shadowlands when he is just a little boy, alongside Yotsu's son, leaving Sotorii to grow up as a pampered only child, the last part of Hantei XXXVIII family, even worse than the creep he is in this timeline.

I've seen them mentioned a bit before, so it's not technically answering your question as is, but I'd like a lot more focus on the people who go on to become the thunders. We've only had brief mentions of Hitomi and Yakamo, and absolutely no details (as far as I know) regarding their infamous feud.

Yeah, and that was cool. I want to see what FFG does with it though. Maybe he's not kidnapped and ends up being the person pulling the strings on the clan coup, or had the crane clan champ killed. Maybe someone snuck the Demonic Baby Rattle of Fu Leng into his crib as a child and he's been on the dark path longer than people realize.

When it comes to shadowlands characters and stories, I've got no problem holding out my bowl like a sad little orphan and saying "please sir can I have s'more?"

Bayushi Jimen and Kakita Noritoshi, I wanna see storyline like their

My two favorite Scorpions I would like to see are The False Hotaru and Bayushi Goshiu. I loved Hoturi and I love Hotaru so let's put her in red and black. As for Bayushi Goshiu there are so many reasons. I mean the pink bakemono mask or the fact that he had so much blackmail he survived the coup and stayed in court or his amazing card ability.

I would have said Bayushi Dairu but everything that made his character rad can't exist in this timeline.

At this point is it really gauche to say Tonbo Karasu?

This, I can totally get behind. Toturi, Hotaru, Kachiko and Tadaka have all had a fair bit of time in the spotlight, but Kamoko, Yakamo and Hitomi have only had a single story or scene mention them thus far. I'd also like to see more of Mirumoto Satsu, now that you've brought up the feud, since it'd help more firmly establish why Hitomi hates Yakamo so much if we see what her relationship with her brother is.

Granted, that's assuming we're retreading the feud in the same fashion.

I mean there's definitely potential there; in the original intro stories for both the Crab and Dragon (when FFG was releasing a new intro bi-weekly), they made sure to take their time to characterize Yakamo as reckless and short-sighted, while also establishing Hitomi as an absolute loose-cannon ready to go off. We're sooooo close, but it seems so far.

Togashi Tameko. She had 0 Force, but when you played her you added 3 Fire tokens. Her battle action was based on the number of Fire tokens she had, which were decreased every time she used them. Also, her art was just the best.

I think a 3 cost 0_MIL/0_POL Monk with the ability, "This character gets +1/+1 fore each fate on her," would be really interesting. Oh, and her flavor text was hilarious.

Kan'ok'ticheck or any of the Nezumi heroes honestly

I'd like to see all of Kisada's kids get cards. Eventually it would be cool to see Hida Kuon and his kids.
