I need some help with this TIE Defender. Specifically with the light green lines on the solar panels. I can't seem to get a nice clean look out of them. I either end up with too much paint and it flows over, or too little and it gets really uneven. Up until now I've been dry brushing a worn look on my ships and I'm really struggling to get a nice, new ship look. Thanks.
Need advice on this TIE Defender
It looks pretty spiffy to me!
Defenders can be a big PITA--So many panels!
Use the side of the brush to paint and don't load it with too much paint (of course). A dry brush that's a little more "wet" should do it.
I can't tell if you painted the body of the ship or just started adding the green to the existing factory paint job, but if you painted over the green with your base color where you have spillage, it ought to give you the cleaner look you're after.
Maybe you can try a pin wash of sorts between the raised green stripes as another option.
Also, keep in mind that at arm's length no one will notice.
Don't fret; your ship looks great and with a little clean-up it will be that much better!
Keep us posted.
Edited by Force MajeureFrom the pic it doesn't look bad. But I get pushing yourself to do a better job! What you have so far looks great! Please post when your done!
