You should always apply pressure with votes to gain information and keep the belief that the threat of lynch is real. You dont neeeeed to lynch.

The problem I have is that Jabbas post reads like he is more interested in any lynch than finding scum. Thats not town play.

Ok, we are in safely. Working through this, and I see Jabba is at L-1. I’ll address at the end.

I never really liked the argument against Ovinomancer, as I stated previously except for the one post I quoted before I got Ebontrain-derailed I have found most of what he said to be just good sense.

I understood Gnips argument regarding the onlookers of my spat with Ebon, and while I applaud the effort, as I previously stated I don’t think its fair to hold anyone accountable for Ebon killing himself, aside from Ebon.

So that leaves us at Jabba. He is looking like the best place to drop a vote for me, but since we have a full day left and L-1 pressure is already applied, I’ll hold off on the hammer until he has an opportunity to actually speak before the train rolls over his face.

Jabba, I wont speak for others but I’ll list my concerns;

1. You spoke earlier of your concerns regarding players who had given me the sideways eye. But why would that be a valid logical jump, even if from my posts your read on me is town, unless you had some other information regarding my alignment? Right now, the only players who should be sure of my alignment are myself, and the mafia to extent that they know I’m not one of theirs. Thats it. So for you to post with that as a given is a red flag for me.

2. We aren’t close to the point where we need someone lynched right this moment, with a full 24 left to play in the day. The lessaiz-faire attitude with which you placed a vote is concerning as well. I want a more compelling reasoning.

Okay, I think I’ve found the reasoning.

1. At no point have I said Mad was town. I specifically addressed Ebon killing himself because I don’t assume Mad is innocent. Saying “Ebon killing himself doesn’t necessarily make Mad scum” is different from “Mad is town because he didn’t intentionally trigger Ebon.” I actually caught flak for this from Vis, and LTD followed him without claiming to understand.

2. I voted because I woke up and saw CNinja had told us to “get out the vote.” So I did. I was waiting until that point.

3. Communications have been iffy because I’m in Canada rn and dependent on hotel WiFi.

4. None of you should feel certain about lynching Ovi. It’s day one, and the only death is unrelated to him. The case against him was “acting weird.” You can choose to pretend a D1 lynching is well-founded, but I won’t. It’s a way of telling Ovi he can dig himself out of the hole.

Anything left unaddressed?

The thing is, you adressed more of the situation rather than looking on the people involved.

We need to hunt scum players, and so a situation where you look analytical and pass an opinion without much actual content on the relevant matter is suspicious

@ovinomanc3r - it was useful to see how people piled on him and off him again. Thought for a while he was a goner. But now I reckon we dodged a fragging. I use my gut, and my gut says Not Ovi. At least, not Ovi for now.

@MandalorianMoose he sure seems a little distant lately, but of all the guys in this squad I know and trust him best. We’ve been crater buddies ever since that Deep Strike on the old Sith ThroneWorld. And those bonds are too tight to give up just because the guy’s day dreaming of bachelor parties with some fine Twi’leks.

@The Jabbawookie is my chief Person of Interest right now. I heard what @CaribbeanNinja said about his suspect tell and see the angle here. Jabba is as smart and cool an operator as they come, but if he isn’t playing for the Home 1 Team than he’s a threat that needs taking down fast. As you know, I have a standing policy of targeting threats at the outset based on risk and he is blinking red to me right now.

And then there’s @Ginkapo - this would prove Alliance Command’s worst fears about The Other Thing. I’m looking at his psych-eval now and it is a frightening combination of killer smarts and killer instincts. He won’t hesitate to garote his best friend in the night with the boot laces he lent him that morning if he thinks he has just cause. And who decides on just cause? Why Gink alone of course. Then there’s the fact that he flipped on Ovi to Jabba and that has me second guessin’ mahself all over again!

I wish I had more time to gather more Intel for you before I have to act, but the psych state of the unit just won’t allow it. These people have seen so much blood they just need to spill some to slake their thirst for a while and keep going through his damned cold back to what they still think is the RDZ. I’ll have to go along to get along with them before the last moon rises and night starts and just hope that I’m pre-empting against a legit target and not fragging some comrade I don’t even know.

I’ll use Signal #Vote Protocol in approx 12hrs so tell me stat if the High IQ boys back at the barn have an angle on this I don’t see. Otherwise I’ll have to blast in the dark.
