Well, that is a bummer. Here's what I was typing as the kracken came along:
I personally don't mind flavor. I think it does add to the fun, and all in all this game is supposed to be about killing time in a fun way but also with a puzzle to solve.
Day One is literally just roll a die and pick someone unless someone screws up, so the talking is all supposed to get someone to slip.
Sorry you got frustrated, Ebon. Missing our cop is gonna make this rough.

If scum is a player like Preyer and you give away multiple pieces of flavour information early doors, it gives him time to pull together a fake character and ride out the game on flavour. Flavour is usually intrinsically linked to alognment, hence it is imformation scum dont know.
I am in favour of flavour being seperate, such as Harry being scum and hermione town. Or Ovi wanna Bowie/Blowie being scum. I doubt this game falls into that category.

there is quite a lot from what to comment on, but I have to say I agree with Gink and Cninj, scum does tend to use flavour to hide behind (I still can’t get over Cninj’s beep boop train that no one followed me on)

I am not against flavor. I am against breadcrumbs. Even if Ebon never had the intention to claim anything I read "I am survivor" right at the gate of his flavor post. That, to me, is just a way to say "dear scum, please, don't kill me, I could be beneficial to you" what is just another way to say "I have a ******* good role".
Basically it not what he said, it is just what others could read. Of course bluff, double bluff and even triple could work but that doesn't make a point for this kind of flavor bombs.
Notice that LP just uses flavor to change the way he communicates. Throwing out pieces of background is going to make people wonder what someone is really saying and, as Gink said, ways to use it to their advantage.

Right now, I am most suspicious of Ovi, for being more aggressive than usual, and Mad, for pushing Ebon over the brink. How could that have escalated so quickly? It almost seemed forced (given Ebon's tendency to seek to quit games if flavor is removed*).
CNinja is suspicious only because he followed Gink. @Ginkapo - I never said that you or CNinja said Ebon was scum, but that you were being what I considered overly aggressive, given the circumstances. For you, I seem to recall a brief aggression followed by a quiet, as your questions are answered. CNinja, and later Ovi, but especially Mad, picked up on that and continued it as if it were a major concern, rather than a question that worked rather as a reprimand. At least CNinja later dropped it too.
In an effort, then, to at least get the ball rolling again, and in partial revenge for ridding us of our cop, I shall
