New Player - Having trouble finding stock

By BobaIcedTea, in Star Wars: Armada

Hello,

I just discovered this game and it is amazing. I have read over some of the starter builds on cannot get your ship out but I'm having problems finding stock of most of the ships. My FLGS does not carry this game. Amazon and Ebay are not much help. Miniaturemarket.com has some stock but missing some key ships like the Imperial Light Cruiser. How does this work with FFG? Do they refill stock occasionally? I want to spend money on this game. Please take my money FFG!

Could you please help us out with your location?

Your location would help a lot.

Amazon in The U.S. has plenty of stock of most items. As for the Imperial Light Cruiser it is out of stock almost everywhere. It is currently on the Upcomming page waiting for a reprint.

I am in Los Angeles on the west side.

Take a look at:

That page lists everything that's currently officially out of stock at the FFG warehouse, and its current status. FFG does big, single print runs, so stuff eventually sells out until they schedule another run, and so can take a while (months, not weeks) until they hit shelves again.

But, anything not on that page is theoretically in stock (although not necessarily at any given store/merchant).

While you wait for the reprints, I would determine what ships/squadron packs that you want to buy and then call every LGS within a 20 minute radius of your location to see if they have the products you need, or more if you are willing to travel farther. I was in West Covina last week, did the same thing, and was able to get everything I wanted, including an Imperial Light Cruiser. Be sure to use the specific expansion names though when talking to the store reps, as they will be looking for Imperial Light Carrier or Imperial Assault Carriers as opposed to a Quasar or Gozantis. Good luck!

Your in my back yard, over in Orange County. I know it's a bit of a drive, but we have a lot of stock out here at multiple stores in the OC. I also know that Emerald Knight in Burbank hosts an Armada night once or twice a week. As far as community in the LA area that is the store I know have people represented at almost all the big tourneys, and they are good guys, so I'm sure if you put something together with whatever you have and show up to the store Championships at that store on July 21st they could give you more info on the LA scene. Otherwise my knowledge of actually LA games/community is pretty limited. If you make it out to the OC ever, let me know and I can help out though!

Amazon looks like it has everything you would really need except fighter packs and the light cruiser. There are actually some great deals right now on the flotillas and the MC-30 (a must buy for any Rebel admiral). @BrobaFett is absolutely correct about North OC stores. There are 3 within a couple miles of me by Fullerton college that all stock Armada. 45 minutes or so down the 91 freeway.

When my local store doesn't have anything in stock, my go to online store is Miniature Market. They always have everything I need.

Emerald Knights (Burbank) has a group that meets up every Tuesday, including tomorrow. Also in Burbank, you could check the stock at Perky Nerd (about two months ago, they were moving toward Legion and Armada stuff was on discount). I wouldn't expect to find Fighter Pack 1s or Light Cruisers, since those are hard to find at the moment, but you can find other stuff. Off the top of my head, I know EK has Chimaera, Profundity, Quasar, CR-90.

I also frequent CoolStuffInc.com as well......
