Does anyone make metal upgrade cannons for the T-65? I’ve seen them for scale models. The current cannons are just to fragile. Had several break. I’m about to do a new squad repaint and would like more durable cannons.

Watch pins are often suggested, as is brass rod or paperclips, but they won't have the blast deflector thingies.

I don't know of anyone making metal x wing blasters at this scale.

To get the cannons accurate you'd need something like hard fine steel wire with a small brass tube going out around it to the middle of the cannon. I've got a friend who replaced all his cannons with paper clips he cut up. Doesn't look too bad, He chops the ends off and runs a hot needle through the center, and then mounts them on the paper clip pieces. I notice that the cannons don't slim down. But I'm a details kind of guy.
