So Uthuk are just going to be bad at armor busting then?

So Kethra’s other unique got spoiled - or at least somebody made some impressive fakes.

Kingsbane Armor - 7

Summarized: Armor+1, collisions cause 2 damage (either way, not like Bull pennon), enemies engaged with Kethra take 2 damage when they activate.

So... barring Kethra’s skill and Ravos, Uthuk have no wound dealing mechanics. Kethra’s is potentially powerful but unreliable. So really it’s Ravos.

So for everyone who wanted armor to be good again, how about knowing that the current hotness is lousy at hitting armor?

Griping aside, Kingsbane Kethra with Shield of Margath looks like a hilarious infantry buster that becomes nigh useless against armor 3

Yup. I've noticed this in my games as Uthuk. Really tough to take down death knights and rune golems when Ravos isn't in the area. Also unfortunate Latari don't really armor up so in the rock paper scissors aspect(of armor) I think Uthuk will have the toughest time vs daqan, then waiqar then latari.

I very much look forward to the good baron.

Kingsbone Armor is definitely one of those upgrades that makes me want to take Mistlands Saboteur again. I usually use Mistlands Saboteur to take away Rank Discipline, but once I got to take Shield of Margath off of Lord Hawthorne. It was pretty great. Kethra will want to engage Reanimates to take full advantage of Kingsbone Armor, and I'll feel confident because she won't have the ranged attack to snipe out the Saboteur on the approach.

But yeah, getting her up to 4 armor is pretty impressive for Uthuk. I like that.

And while the Uthuk Y'llan don't technically have an armor buster outside of Ravos, the 3-threat unit of 2 trays of Spined Threshers is pretty good against most armored units, dealing 1 wound per hit on the red dice.

Yeah. I always think of armor busting as something on low threat/damage units where they still manage to get an near-auto-wound or two. At a certain point, a single attack’s damage is high enough that armor/wound ratios stop mattering and it all just becomes HP.

You really have to think in terms of being able to hit strategic damage multiples with Uthuk or frankly any other faction.

Let's not forget that Kethra has Mortal on the dial and can take bone caster. In our local games proxying her we've seen her one shot Carrion Lancers at range by rolling 3 hits on two white with a Mortal dialed in.

Between Mortal on the dial and her skill, she is an excellent armor buster... nearly as good as Ravos I would say... and if you aren't taking one of these two heroes into battle, what are you doing?

After tonight, it won’t be taking her in Flesh Rippers. The green skill was too limiting when I have already invested 75 minimum.

A unit like that has to be attacking as often as possible. The white die exchange also didn’t help damage output that much.

Next will be as a figure in Berserkers.
