Any players in the Kansas City area?

By Rcracken7, in Runewars Miniatures Game

I have been following this game since announcement, and although I haven’t bought in to it as of yet, I am seriously considering it. That being said I have concerns over the playerbase in my area because of the player map. Does this represent most of the player base? Is there anyone on the forums, active or not, that plays in Kansas or Missouri? Any and all feedback is welcome. Thanks.

The map shows people who frequent these forums only. If there's nobody on it in your area, there's still a possibility of players in your area. Try asking at game stores and/or game clubs.

This. I am the only one (that I know of) in the Phoenix area on these forums regularly. There are 5 other players in my group that do not. I have asked around at game stores and discovered that there is one group that plays at a game store in Tempe, another group like mine who plays at home regularly but comes into a game store to order stuff, and a few casual players who like the game but don't play that often for lack of opponents. This information came from asking around at 5 different game stores. I'm hoping to connect all these groups and see if we can get a tournament scene out here.

Just pop into a few game stores on your day off and ask around. It will probably pay dividends.

I'm not incredibly close, but possibly the closest one to you on the forums. I and a group of 3-4 other players live in Lincoln, NE

Also I started with the core box (you have so much more variety to choose from now) and played a few small games with friends using only the contents and that sold them on buying their own armies and it's snowballed from there lol.

Thank you all for the replies. I will definitely be asking around my local game stores, and I might be able to hook some friends with a core...
