Ghost, spirit of the dark side, vision, whatever you want it to be — I'm just spitballing! We have a similar appearance in Diala's side mission from the Core Set, where you get the benefit of Vader as an antagonist without it actually being Vader. And Luke's confrontation with "Vader" on Dagobah obviously isn't with Vader himself, but some sort of manifestation of Luke's fear in the Dark Side. No reason that we couldn't seen something similar. Given how the expansions are designed for play with only the core set, finding a way to use some of the major Core Set characters is a way to wring more options out of an expansion.

That being said, you raise a good point that HotE already gave us a Force artifact plot — no need to retread that ground, then.

I know there are people who are really into things being super-thematic (and that's great for them, honestly) but personally I'd rather have things that I think are cool. Greedo, Obi-Wan and the Inquisitor was one of my favourite expansion waves despite the fact that it makes zero sense for them to be alive during most of these campaigns (let alone involved in the goings-on of the empire/rebellion confiict). I like all those characters, though, and they have fun and thematic abilities, so to me they were a huge positive addition to my campaigns. Same goes for the likes of the Emperor and Jabba; it makes no sense for either to be directly confronting a bunch of no-name rebels on some backwater planet somewhere, but I still love what they bring to the game since their abilities are fun, unique, and do a really good job of fitting their characterizations.

Yoda would be the same, and he's at the top of my list of figures I'd like to see added. I'd be really excited to see how they build him mechanically, since I think that (like they did with Thrawn) they could do some really cool things with him.

And if you don't think he fits thematically? Awesome! Don't buy him and your problem is solved

Raiders of the Ark vs. Last Crusade?

The Emperor was always searching for more, that's his thing; There was one book where he kept Luke's hand and Lightsabre in a prized possessions vault (not creepy at all!).

Just a random thought (spoilers for Rebels Season 4)

I've assumed Yoda is only a matter of time since they announced Obi-Wan. We didn't get him in this set but I think we will see him eventually. As much as I love the characters created for the game, there are many characters I'd like to see make it into the game.
