If the ship equipped with snap shot has a stress token or is damaged, may it use Saw's pilot ability to reroll snap shot die? Isn't it the same, as it is with M9-G8 ability allowing snap shot users to reroll a single die?
Thanks for your help.

No. Saw allows the attacker to reroll. M9 rerolls for them.
What @thespaceinvader said. The ship carrying M9-G8 is the source of the re-roll, so it gets around certain restrictions like Snap Shot. In Saw's case, though, he is granting the attacking ship a re-roll (much like Howlrunner), rather than forcing a die to be re-rolled. Since it's the attacking ship being allowed the re-roll, and not a different ship forcing that re-roll, the restrictions stay in effect.
Which makes me think an interesting force power (down the line) could be to spend a force token to reroll one die from a ship at Range 1, friendly or enemy, attack or defense...
