We are The Rebel Scum podcast and our first episode talks about the hobby aspect of Star Wars Legion. We talk about the paints, brushes and glue we use plus tips and tricks for making your minis look battle ready. So sit back and relax as we talk about why we love the hobby and how you can enjoy painting and making your models look great.

Sounds great can't wait to see it.

Excellent work. I'd agree with a lot of what you guys said.

I'd recommend using Rust-Oleum matte black, white, and grey if you're on a budget for priming. But you have to know how to keep a steady stream and go light when using it as a primer. Two thin coats are better than one heavy one. And keeping in the 6-12" distance when spraying (this is where humidity comes in).

Brushes are nice, but if you're new, buy the cheap ones. Get a few minis under your belt, and if you want, get a nice one. Regardless, I'd recommend buying brush cleaner/conditioner regardless of what ones you use.

And anyone can do this. Seriously. I started on Armada squads. Then I moved on to Zombicide figures. Now I'm loving Legion. This has been in the course of a year or so. It just takes some time to get better. But it's so easy to do a reasonable job with the right tools and a little effort.

Agreed. There are so many options and each person has a different budget and interest in painting. I personally recommend the high end brushes, but that's my personal style. Cheap brushes get the job done, but fall apart faster (which I don't like myself). I do agree, brush cleaner is very important to keep those brushes working best over long periods of time. My favorite part of the hobby side is how easy and accessible this is for any player/painter. You do not have to use any specific brand to be successful. Find what you like and run with it.

And there are plenty of people who can toss a bit of advice now and then when needed, as well ?

Obviously. :)

I enjoyed the Podcast.

Good advice don't skimp on the paint. As for brushes I use Army Painter and find those work well.

Don't forget to seal them after you paint them.
