Jam is very good.... and in the right lists and circumstance i will take the option to jam over coordinate any day.
Play some games with a jam ship. 1 Action to counter 1 (or 2 with the crew) is crazy good because you can use a cheaper ship or ship that does not really need its actions to remove a critical action from your opponent. Nothing is more satisfying then removing a target lock from a long range scanners ship before it gets a chance to shoot its missile.
