Force Action and maneuver dice pool assembly

By duster29, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

Hi,

My group and I recently started getting more into using force powers and a question came up about how does your Force Dice Pool get assembled?

Example:

The PC has a Force Rating of 3

The PC wants to take a Force Enhance Leap maneuver to leap into medium range and then Force Throw his saber as an attack action. Both require force to activate. Does he have to split his 3 force dice between the action and maneuver (Ex 2 for Enhance and 1 for the saber throw) or does he roll 3 force dice for both the action and maneuver. I was having a hard time finding anything in the books on how this works.

I understand an action that requires committed force dice would lower the force rating. I just can't figure out how it works when both the action and maneuver require force dice to roll.

Thanks for the help

No, he rolls his full dice pool for each separately . Granted, That presumes he has the control upgrade to enable him to use Force Leap as a maneuver to begin with. Otherwise, he can only use one of those two Force abilities.

Each usage (Force Leap as maneuver and Saber Throw as action) are separate activations, and as such would be separate rolls, so he'd be rolling 3 Force dice for each. That also means that should your player generate 3 Force points when using Enhance to do a Force Leap as their maneuver, they can't save/spend any of those points to use on Saber Throw, since again it's a separate usage of the Force.

Thank you, this helps a ton!
