ta-da.

The list is ment to give keyan a reliable and nearly-fully modified 5-dice attack, and keeping some survivability (at least for a while) while Leevan gets in close with target-lock+focus+evade+possible Jyn focus or jan evade, making her a suprisingly defensive, yet heavy-hitting blocker/brawler, supported by saw (who can pack a decent attack as well with double actions and a stress reroll) and a long-range keyan.

Thoughts?

For the record: Expose does not stack with HLC, but Opportunist does...

Uh, that Keyan will die in all of 1 turn with such minimal defensive mods and a MASSIVE target on his back... I'd ditch the cannon and get VI and Linked Battery. You could even invest in 3PO/R2-DCrew for greater survivability, but again, that's a big points sink...

Leevan, on the other hand, looks quite fun, though very much a hit and run kind of guy, which doesn't particularly fit with the other 2.

I feel as though Saw will almost never get to shoot after the 1st couple rounds, what with being stuck to greens... therefore, Jyn would become equally defunct. I would ditch EI and accept his selfless role.

Hrm. I think HLC isn't good here, per @nitrobenz , but the concept of Expose + Thrust Corrector is growing on me. TC means a single auto-Evade. Per the original-damage-deck Blinded Pilot rulings, I believe it'd work fine even on 0-agility from Expose. Keeping that and dropping Heavy Laser Cannon for Linked Batteries provides a 4-dice with 1 reroll and probably at least 1 stress from Thrust Corrector.

36 is still a lot for a B-Wing, even if these things to get kinda tanky. For example, barring a crit which does two damage, it's impossible for Keyan to be killed by two Harpoon Missiles; it'll take a 3rd attack of some kind. But that's still 36 points, more than a third of a list.

That's the big issue with Keyan, IMHO. There are a lot of really cool builds which can be made with him. The basic concept of this is really cool, just like many others. None of them seem good to me, since they all just cost so much. Named-pilot B-Wings are just so radically overpriced. I think it'd be a great ship at about 31 points, but that's not what B-Wings cost. Fingers crossed 2e B-Wing prices are saner.

Jyn/Jan is a pretty cool combo (like Keyan, probably cooler than it is strong), but I'm never taking it on a U-Wing when the Auzituck exists. Saw isn't really using his Elite or System slots to do anything impactful, and while his pilot ability seems OK if your ships are fairly close togther, but if you're interested in a Jyn/Jan ship, take that 180-degree firing arc. SOOOO much better. Lowhrick with Selflessness or Draw Their Fire, Jyn, Jan, and Experimental Interface is 3 points more than the Saw, and will be pretty solid. Reinforce, and either stack tokens on itself for a nightmare to kill (Focus, Evade, and Reinforce?), or be a lot more protective of fellow ships. If you're sticking with Saw, I'll emphatically suggest going for Draw Their Fire or Selflessness instead of VI. Saw's pilot skill isn't really in a place where he needs it (he jumps, what, Dash? and is that even good?), he doesn't have repositioning actions which benefit from the higher PS, and it might even be detrimental to the Jyn/Jan combo. At lower PS, it's easier to plot a move where you know where the enemy ships will be, and can optimize the number of tokens generated. At higher PS, you might get out-flown and wind up pointing off into space without anyone in arc. Even if they fly out of arc after you've moved, you'll still have the tokens. Likewise, adding an Elite which shifts damage to Saw, who's a lower-priority target, seems more effective.

Leevan is probably fine. Maybe. I keep trying to make R7-T1 work, and it never seems to work for me. Combined with Intensity, it'll be really cool when it works, but a lot more fragile than many builds. On paper, it's great, but the on-table geometry of it is a lot worse than it looks. To that end, I'm more inclined towards a boring-but-good VI/FAA build on a higher PS X-Wing (Wedge, Wes, and Luke are all probably pretty solid), but Leevan is the cool new thing and it's late and I haven't fully priced out the points.

Keyan with Linked Batteries instead of the non-functional Heavy Laser Cannon saves 5 points. That's enough to upgrade from Saw to Lowhhrick, with two to spare (plus it looks like the original list had a 1-point bid?). That's probably enough for a higher-PS X-Wing, if that's your jam.
