These TIE pilots need to fly right back to the academy...

Not to mention limited knowledge of the various upgrades that will available in 2.0; or what upgrade slots the ship will have.
The article implie that the autopilot drone deal damage when the count down ends, but the wording say "before you are removed" , so it is supposd to deal damage even if destroyed by opponent, probably. The all expansion looks cool. Anyway

"Han flying and Qi’ra as a crew member, this can provide multiple benefits. Together, they let you fly right through any obstacles you're locking and gain the extra die from Han's ability when firing through those same obstacles—without also granting an extra defense die to your target."
So If I'm reading that right Han would attack with three dice and the defender gets no extra die. Then when the enemy ship fires back Han gets get's 2 extra green dice because of HIS ability.
That's a four dice swing spread out.
Pretty sure that's our classic Article error
If you "ignore" an obstacle (note there is no "may" on Qira), then this obstacle doesn't count as obstructing the attack. Hence no bonus die here when attacking.
edit : but works for the defense situation anyway.

So what do people think the interaction is between L3-37's "If you are not shielded" wording and the Lando's Falcon title's "While you have an Escape Craft docked, you may spend its shields as if they were on your ship card" ability? Does a Falcon that has none of its own shields left, but still has the Escape Craft's two shields available, count as shielded or not?
Chewbacca refuses to repair the Falcon if L3-37 is flying it. I guess they don't get along. :(
The keyword is "may spend" vs "being shielded". The falcon is unshielded, so he HAS no shields of his own, but may SPEND these shields as if they were his own.

It would not count as shielded

Is it obstructed if your ignoring the obstacle?

FFG already ****ed it up. The Proton Torpedo Card in den Renegates Pack also has a differend design and the "Missile icon" that indicates that nö range Bonus applies is missing ???

Did you say illusion in the manner of Gob Bluth?

Maybe you can choose the order?
First you get the Bonus dice because ist obstructed, thereafter you ignore the obstacle
So far 2.0 is turning out to be quite a mess ruleswise - and it isn't even out yet. :/

It's not looking great, but we don't have the actual rulebook yet so it may well be that many of these issues are cleared up there.
(Lando Falcon) Scum Han shooting at a stressed ship in range 1 (obstructed) with Trick Shot:
"Let me count my Red Dice"

With each new article I'm convinced seismics will be a good idea.
My bomber + punisher list looks more competitive by the minute!
Be cool if they included the Escape Craft (and Falcon title) for Rebellion and Resistance as well.
In fact it would be cool if the base YT1300 had the Lando's falcon stats and everything for other time periods came as a title.

I know that this is a common criticism of the - frankly superior - modular point system. Also, I am aware that we don't have a firm set for other ships in the release wave.
I do hope, that upon the release of the initial wave, that spoiling articles give "projected point values" so that we can consider the vessels' ramifications.
On the other hand, perhaps they don't release those notes to give more excitement to when they actually release.
I actually enjoy that we don't have points values. I also really hope, that point levels and slots are first revealed in the app and the pdf upon street date of the respective ships.
It was so annoying that people already played the unreleased ships to death by vassal or proxy, and already listed out the most powerful combos. And discussed everything to death here and in FB/reddit/etc and talked i to death in the various pods.
So when months later "the boat" finally found a harbour and finally managed to unload, and the goods finally got to your (F)LGS, most people were pretty bored and uninterested.
Cause they were already proxying the new hotness.

I completely agree; it gives us no real foundation to proxy lists, or test builds because we know nothing, there is no FAQ, there is no valuation to the ships, upgrades, mod slots etc. So if they continue on this course and wait to the world wide release the testing, list building and playing will be all new and fresh; I do see myself looking at the "quick build cards" as a preview of what the ship could handle and the threat level associated with that build, it allows a baseline to build off of and develop the list(s) from there. Great post!
Depending on how release dates are scheduled relative to major tournaments, holding off point values and slots until release date might provide a pretty big competitive advantage to playtesters.
If everybody has 2-3 weeks to come up with squads except a select group which has several months, it's not really a level playing field, is it?
Some fun new tools right there! Suddenly the 2 primary does not seem bad, given all the ways to either get rerolls or extra dice.
Lando crew will be useful on many ships, pseudo flexible TL. Looks especially interesting on a low Initiative Reinforce e.g. Kooshka Frost. Use the reinforce defensively vs higher I ships attacking you, then spend the Reinforce token to reroll when you attack.
Coordinate on the shuttle is very interesting. I like the support potential of it, the ticking bomb is fun but the potential of Outer rim pioneer seems greater.

Sure it pairs wonderfully with the Falcon and especially with Han as pilot but if flown separately enables other ships to sneak around obstacles with less risk, and get extra actions from Coordinate. Curious about Assaj supported by this for example, but the dial probably means it's hard to keep up with the Lancer more than a few turns if you use the red coordinate.
