It concerns me that it looks like all of the escape craft dead man's switch themselves after 3 rounds. I wish there was a "may" mechanic on the countdown or something.

"Han flying and Qi’ra as a crew member, this can provide multiple benefits. Together, they let you fly right through any obstacles you're locking and gain the extra die from Han's ability when firing through those same obstacles—without also granting an extra defense die to your target."
So If I'm reading that right Han would attack with three dice and the defender gets no extra die. Then when the enemy ship fires back Han gets get's 2 extra green dice because of HIS ability.
That's a four dice swing spread out.
Don’t forget a possible Gunner-slot, and if he has another Crew slot, bringing Fett along...

Only one of them does that.

I guess they mean that you can move and shoot while on an asteroid, but yeah, odd.
It sure does. This really reminds me of the whole 1.0 Inquiz ability with regards to the whole "We ARE in range 3 of one anohter, but you ACT like you are in range 1."
I guess for this you would say that the attack IS obstructed, but YOU will IGNORE the effects of the obstruction. Your opponent just treats his attack as obstructed.
Quick Shot Han w Lando's Faclon title, against a stressed ship through a debris field at range 1 or something like that is gonna be a pretty huge attack.
Starting to see why only primary attack of 2. And I don't mind being able to get that many dice, if it's a VERY hard shot to line up - it's like you'll rarely ever be able to make that, but when you CAN?
How do you get in to the escape craft from the falcon?

Yeah that would be nasty.

It is cool that you can build this thing in wildly different ways that will have completely different play-styles.
Part of me really likes that too. I hope most future large base ships follow that trend. (Would rather small/medium bases keep a general consistent play style, because I like to fly groups of the same hull. That said, having the one oddball in the pack is nice too.)

What is the upgrade slot for L337's Programming? Can I equip that to any Scum ship?

That’s a config slot.

Configuration. Same place S-foils are equipped in 2.0.

She's a crew upgrade. You place her face-up in the crew slot, but she becomes a Modification after you use her once.

It would restrict using those crew with it, though it makes sense for it to be Qi'ra with its ability.

The article implies* that the "L3-37's Programming" configuration card is the flip side of the "L3-37" crew card, so yeah, you could equip to it any Scum ship with a crew slot, because it has to start face up as a crew card.
*: season to taste

Only the initiative one Autopilot drone does. The other pilots don't have that function / ability.

Ok, thanks to everyone for the responses. I guess we need the actual pack. I didn't pick up on the L3-37 Crew/Config being dual sided. If so, that limits its applicability. I was thinking about putting it on a Fang or Jumpmaster to open up those dials a little more.

TBF, we don't knowfor sure that you can't equip the config without first having it as a crew (though I'm thinking it's most likely that being crew first is a requirement). Yes we do, it's crew side up.
I was thinking over the Qi'ra + Han synergies and I think I get it. She lets you shoot while sitting on a rock. The defender will be the one that cares if its obstructed rather than the attacker, as the defender will add an additional die to their attack pool. Maybe the trigger for Han is that the defender sees it as obstructed, regardless of what Han thinks about it.
Ugh, yeah, still, we need a FAQ on that if that's how it's supposed to work.

We do know for sure that L3 has to be equipped in a crew slot first. It says on the crew side that it must be equipped with that side faceup. No room for misinterpretation there. So it's a no-go on ships that don't have a crew slot.

Well the crew side has a Setup phase paragraph that says you have to start with that side up. If you can ignore that text and start with the configuration side up, that text has no purpose or effect. So it seems likely you can't.
There are some... inconsistencies.
While the cards from the TIE Reaper expansion come with the symbol of the faction, the cards from Lando's and Saw's come with text.

Make up your mind, FFG!

You have to walk all the way down the Teleporter Room. Alternatively, if you're in a hurry, you can hit your communicator and ask Chief O'Brien for a site-to-site transport, but they like to reserve that option for emergencies.
Otherwise... yea I guess you crawl into the Falcon's concussion missile tube, have the pilot launch the tube, and then you are jettisoned at attack velocity right through the engine of the Escape Craft. If you survive, what's left of you may be near the cockpit of the Escape Craft... though it'll have one fewer engines...
