What's this stamina you're talking about? Clearly you have been working on the Descent stuff, not Imperial Assault. ;)

Doh!

Our group does play both, so "stamina / strain" gets used in both games.

But not stress... never stress (unless you count DMing my alpha players! ;) )

edit: that's also what I get for posting on the forums before coffee!

overall though, can't wait to get my hands on it :)

Lothcats would pair nice with Nexu, handing them evades to stack defensive bonuses. Will be a bit slower though.

I'm excited for Lothcats in campaign, not so much in skirmish.

The clone trooper seems really cool though. And I love the map tiles.

The imperial player's hand of deployment cards does not include reserved groups. Whether the cards are physically in your hand is another thing - I don't think any imperial player holds them in their hands for the duration of the mission.

" During a campaign, when the last Imperial figure in a non- unique group is defeated, the Deployment card is returned to the Imperial player’s hand and can be optionally deployed later in the mission. "

" When the Imperial player resolves an optional deployment , for example during the Status Phase, the Imperial player can deploy any Deployment cards from his hand . "

Re initial groups: " These cards are not part of his hand and are placed faceup at the start of the mission. "

Re open groups: " These Deployment cards are kept secret in the Imperial player’s hand until deployed. "

Reserve groups are specified groups that have triggers, like mission specific villains.

According to the rules, the Imperial's "hand" is non-deployed cards. So you have cards which are facedown, not deployed, and yet you're putting power tokens on them?

Obviously more needs to be revealed...

Sure. But where's the fun in not speculating on what may be. Do we know what the basic card for the new class is? With the two class cards that have been revealed, can we guess as to what the basic card would be? Have we ever seen power tokens apply to an entire deployment group rather than an individual figure? That would kind of make sense with the wording on Limitless Arsenal, but Redouble Our Efforts still refers to a "figure's" power tokens.

It also seems odd to be able to use the attack pool of a deployment group that has yet to be revealed.

I really wish they were a little bit cheaper to deploy though. Elite Speed 5 and +2 is awesome but 3 points every time one dies is tough, if they were 5pts to put into a list it would be easier to swallow.

Compare the elite LolCatz to elite Stormtroopers. Same reinforcement cost, same defense, same attack dice, same surge for +2 DMG. And then the LolCatz give power tokens, have Pierce 1, more movement and pounce. Actually, I don't think, that they are too expensive.

Nemeses has class cards where you reveal deployment cards from your hand (or from reserved groups) to show a match in traits .

So revealing the card is a slight disadvantage suffered in order to benefit from the skill?

I always buy 2 of the big set for the doubles needed for elites. Jump Troopers, Weequay, sentry droids, loth cats and death troopers.

I sell the extras or cut them and customize my own figures. Same with the figure packs except you really only need to keep a command card or 2.

But they are also melee. I don't think they are overcosted either though.

Gotta admit, everything about the loth-cat is simply off-putting.

The card art doesn't seem to match Star Wars aesthetic and the figure itself is such a stark contrast to the badass and gritty Death trooper.

I need more "Imperial Assault" and less of this friendly, adventure stuff.

Negativity aside, CT-1701 is looking pretty sweet!

Agreed. I love playing creature builds. I can deal with the Nexu, but the Rancor and Bantha just fits right in. I think the Lothcats will be good for creatures, but I'll absolutely have a hard time bringing them to the table. This is one thing that I for sure will not paint up as canon. Gotta have a more sinister look.
