I’d have to say Rebels, but that could be my Rebel bias for wanting better X wings. It’s really a hard call though, both look extremely fun.
Happy Friday!
Both came with medium bases and tons of cool 2.0 stuff so it's hard to choose!
I’d say rebels there’s some fun pilots and Luke is well, Luke
Edited by CgriffithReaper model looks cooler IMO.
I don't have either yet.
Edited by Infinite_MaelstromIn 1.0, I believe the Reaper is better. In 2.0 x-wings seem to take the prize
I bleed imperial... but the paintjobs on those rebel ships are pretty amazing. I'm actually trying to put together a jank rebel swarm that uses these two ships.
Reaper. I want to abuse 1.0 Krennic before he becomes worthless in 2.0.

100% this.
If it's for 2.0 then it's the Rebel pack but Reaper/Krennic is amazing for 1.0.
It is clear to me that scum had the better... wait. Where is the scum ship?
Imps.... just because I’d reserved one at my FLGS but after seeing it in the store decided I couldn’t live without 2!
Close call though. Final wave of 1.0 is one of the best.
U-Wing and X-Wing already exist, and I don't particularly care for the Partisan black & white paint jobs, so Reaper all the way.

I think the X-Wings are really good in 1.0. Even better than the Reaper.
The only card that might make a case for the Reaper expansion is 1.0 Krennic. He is hilariously broken, but i like it...
5. Partisan. U-Wings.
So much real estate. 4 were surprisingly hard to kill, 5 are simply better. Or 4, all with both Ion Projectors and Anti-Pursuit Lasers.
Traffic Jam list.
The reaper looks absolutely outstanding, and ISB slicers should make them relevant competitively, but Wedge is also now amazing. I'm on the fence at the moment.

Luke with Expertise is da man tho... TL or reposition every turn. If you have R2D2, he is also very hard to take down for the cost.

Major Vermeil is 31 points with VI, ISB Slicer, LWF and ailerons. 2 points cheaper than R2 Luke, with an ability that's better than expertise, pre-manoeuvre boosting and more health, at the same ps and with the option to double-jam as an action. Similarly, ISB slicer generic reapers win against X-wing swarms due to the double-jam ability.
X-wings, on the other hand, have the pilot skill advantage - BB-8 VI wedge is only 29 points, after all.
Ummm.....I don't really care. I mean, it's just 1.0 stuff. No one wants to seem to play X-wing anymore until 2.0. I mean, people were on the fence about quitting, but this just gives them a break to play a bunch of other stuff now.
I was going to pick up the new stuff last night, but it hadn't come in yet. I wasn't going to play any of it until 2.0, though.
I got both packs. The models in both are pretty amazing. The Reaper and the U-Wing on medium bases look so much better than the small and large bases respectively. I put away my 1.0 stuff and waiting for 2.0. Am gonna set up a mat and give the medium bases a "test drive' though.

Did the Rebel pack come with 2.0 focus, lock, etc. tokens? Mine didn’t. I just got the 2.0 dials and ship tokens.
Hmmm...
- I love the Tie Reaper model, the pilots are a bit meh to me.
-Krennic is cool, a modern classic villain in the movies and probably would have been to in 1.0 too.
- But maaaan, does 5 x-wings look good on the table. X-wings with reposition!!!
- No K2 again?
None of the expansions is a must buy for me, I am waiting to see how 2.0 turns out before I spend more money on X-wing, unless I reeeaaaly wan't that Tie Reaper, just for the model. So I guess the Tie Reaper wins for me?
I really want to say the Reaper and Krennic, but dem flappy X-Wings...

Idk. You can’t jam the same ship twice, and if the opponent does not fly formation, slicers are just doing nothing.
On a similar note, Luke will always have dice mods, defensive or offensive. You can jam him all you want. You will have your automatic hit on offense, and that’s it. If you are in range to jam that is.
I am not convinced the reaper is that great. The thing it might have going for it is maybe that a regen ship will probably not get away from it so easily.
The generic Reapers are actually outnumbered by the X-Wings and might lose a ship before it starts, while jot being able to jam on the crucial 1st turn of engagement.

Correct me if I’m wrong (I’m on mobile and don’t have the cards in front of me), but can’t you jam the same ship twice if it has any tokens on it? 1st Jam token removes a token and then goes away, 2nd jam token removes another token or sticks. Right?

Yes, but It only works on ships moving before you though. So with Luke you would need to have the initiative choice. Plus he doesn’t really care too much for his own mods.
So maybe give your ship tactician on top, then we might be talking.
