Wave 14 ships - No Quick Build cards?

Just taking a utilitarian view of the mechanic. FFG said that they have those just as an alternative for those that do not have access to the app (for whatever reason). Instead of using point cost you use an agreed amount of threat (say 8 threat). But it is a safe assumption that they are not going to be that well balance (not all 3 threats are equal). But not letting a good mechanic go to waste they can be used for other formats if not in a competitive tournament.

Threat 2: Cavern Angels Zealot, Trick Shot, Servomotor S-foils, Deadman's Switch

Threat 2: Edrio Two-Tubes, R3 Astromech, Proton Torpedoes, Servomotor S-foils

Threat 2: Benthic Two-Tubes, Pivot Wing, Advanced Sensors

Threat 2: Partisan Renegade, Pivot Wing, Magva Yarro, Proton Torpedoes

Threat 3: Saw Guerrera, Pivot Wing, Trick Shot, Magva Yarro, Proton Torpedoes, Advanced Sensors

Threat 3: Kullbee Sperado, Trick Shot, R4 Astromech, Proton Torpedoes, Servomotor S-foils, Deadman's Switch

This makes little sense to me. The Threat cards should have been included for when 2e is released. That’s the point of including 2e content. Unless you are saying you think FFG will go back and release Threat cards later that will include these ships...?

Threat cards could be the one thing they actually could release in random boosters, then you could have a tournament using them because not everyone would have the same cards. Not a main deal but I could definately see a sanctioned event with threat cards in that setting.

I don't know if they will or not but they certainly can if they want. The conversion kits don't have threat cards in them and as I said the content given in these First Ed. packs are a mini conversion kit. They will stop production of First Ed. packs once 2nd is released and at that point they will have to release a Second Ed pack for these ships at some point (whether its a mirror pack or a new variation), the threat cards could be in those packs. They could also be a part of the card packs they plan on releasing.

Or they might not have threat cards for these ships at all, who knows. The threat cards are an alternative play avenue and a learning tool, but not a necessity to the game. FFG have stated there will be PDF info sheets released with all point costs associated with each ship as appropriate, that will be updated in line with the app updates, for those who wish to play without the app.

Maybe if we have an app we can auto-generate a threat.

Threat 1-5 with threat 6-7 being illegal unless it is a specific campaign or mission. (Think of Threat 7 and 6 being the Boss or Mini-boss.)
