We have the HWK's first appearance in Dark Forces and FFG did get the size right for 1.0 as the HWK appeared in Dark Forces. However, we have other sources of information about the HWK other than images from the game. The Force Unleashed Campaign Guide compares the HWK to the YT-1300 and lists it as being able to care 50 tons more cargo and the same amount of passengers but in more comfort. Comfort is relative to room, more room means a bigger ship. The HWK was also referenced in the Dark Forces Sage RPG where there is a back story on the Moldy Crow which also provides statistics on the ship including the 29 meters cited on Wookiepedia. These are both publications approved by Lucas so they have credibility.

With the HWK receiving a little buff in 2.0, with ALL spoiled cards listing it as a "light freighter" and with the new support actions the ship has, I really feel the HWK should be bigger based on the published specs. I'd like to see it as a medium based ship or a small large base.

Of course, this is all subjective to personal opinion. If you were a huge fan of the video game, then you are going to want to stick with what you saw. I'm more interested in it's current role in 2.0. So, just my opinion based on publications and it's current role.

The HWK-290 should never be above small base, nor should it have ever been a "Freighter" of any kind. It just isn't, and never has been. Don't base it off of words and read-only citations. Take tangible sources. Sources where it first appeared in. Like Dark Forces. Where it was consistent throughout the entire series.

Well if it wasn't for the Y-wing I could have seen dual faction packs where the Z-95 is released with having both Scum and Rebel cards, same for the HWK-290.

Still it is too soon to say. FFG will figure out some deployment plan. Maybe the Y-wing will get a second release as a Scum only expansion.

Also, want to point out a UPS truck can be considered a light freight vehicle. Comparing it to a standard car and that's not much of a difference. That's a semantics argument at best.

I kinda see FFG releasing ships close to the same order they did in 1.0. So, slot in a scum Y-Wing and Z-95 around the same wave Most Wanted came out.
