so Strategic Advisor... Unique or not unique?

It's unique...an unfortunate casualty, but not worth looking at having to provide a list of exceptions. If it's good enough to be unique it's gone.

Also, you all got wrecked. Pod 3 finished their draft in like 5 hours...

Yeah I took like 15 minutes to make a decision and was getting mildly yelled at...

I think it was more like 3 hours... :)

We haven't even had all our folks read the PM yet.... ?

Same here... waiting anxiously...

Clarification:

Quote

You will draft a number of expansions to use to build your fleet. You may only use cards from those expansions when building your fleet

When you mean, you can only use cards from those expansions, do you only get the LIMITED amount of cards those packs came with, or do you get as many cards as you'd like to use when building your list?

Limited. This is to encourage out of the box builds and hard choices with the limited pool of upgrades. It also helps people from spamming a strong upgrade if they were the only one lucky enough to get on in the pod.

Clarification on the sideboard rules:

  • You may have other ship variants in your sideboard, but they cost their full point cost (IE Larges don't fit)
  • You can have a whole ship in your sideboard, it's just costly
  • Once the tournament has started your sideboard loses its point restriction. (IE, you could drop a large ship into your sideboard and put in your 75 from your sideboard, but you will then have a large bid)

Great, thank you.

@Angry Ewok

You around?

For the side board, do I just write which upgrades I am putting there or do I specify what ship and upgrade they are attached/swapping with? Will I see my opponents fleet and side board before I can use the side board?

Just list what you have in your sideboard, they can go on any eligible ship when making fleet changes. I'll be posting a fleet submission form shortly.

All fleets and sideboards will be public knowledge, hence the need to make your fleet changes prior to starting your matches, its partially a mind game on what changes your opponent might make.

Also, a PSA: Fab's Fleet generator has the option to limit the expansions you can use when list building. If you are having trouble finding exactly what you can and cannot use, I'd suggest checking it out.

Do we have a ruling on the interaction between Ordinance Pods and Gunnery Teams? Gunnery Teams say you cannot attack the same squad twice, but Ordinance Pods gives an exception. (Interaction should be similar to Impetuous and GT, right?)

@Drasnighta Paging a rule guru. Not sure I've heard this one before... I'll get your input before making a ruling for this tourney.

Once there is a pod with complete lists, can i have the full lists and the drafting information.

There is a curious piece to write on "meta" here

Isn't 'cannot' the Supreme Overruler? If something says 'cannot', nothing else can contradict it, so GT would take precedence over OP, right?

Advanced Gunnery and GT precedent says this is exactly the case.

Advanced Gunnery and Ord Pods, however, would be fine.

Golden Rule.

Cannot is absolute in an upgrade card, and overwrites Can, Must, Will, Does, etc.

Gunnery Teams and OrdPods is a bad mix - just like Gunnery Teams and Advanced Gunnery.

Then that's the way it's ruled.

Apologies I took so long to get back to you... I collapsed after work. Was the best,by virtue of being the only, 3 hours sleep block I've gotten this month.

How do we submit our ‘fleets’?
