Tie/Sh in V2.0?

By player2422845, in X-Wing

Well the topic is the question. Do someone have any info about this title in V2 ? Maybe it became useless due to the new stats of the lambda and the brand new Reaper?

Tie/Sh

I was under the impression that the TIE Silencer will be FO only in 2e

TIE/shuttle. It was a title for the TIE bomber in Imperial Veterans.

Sorry I should have share the picture. 340?cb=20160419122220

No news, but there's very little niche left for it once the Reaper arrives.

Except it was much cheaper than the Reaper and cannot take Palpy or Krennic.

I hope there is still a TIE Shuttle in 2.0.

As long as it is very cheap, it will have a place in squads.

Really, with the TIE Reaper, the TIE shuttle has very little place.

Especially with we have never officially seen it in canon. The nearest we get is Needa requesting his shuttle and us seeing a TIE bomber fly out, which could be a councidence.

The Reaper does everything a TIE shuttle can do, plus a little more.

It doesn't have glorious curved wings

I think it could work.

As long as the bomber stays so cheap, there will be a niche for my favorite ship

I’d want to see it still. As a carrier for isb slicers or death troopers (if they’re cheap enough) it would rock.

Supposedly, two TIE Shuttles come along Vader's Lambda boarding to Profundity.

Given the Rebels episode, the Tie Bomber may gain a native crew slot for Bombadier

Nah, we'll just get Sabine in a TIE bomber.

Shuttle may be a configuration, or, alternatively, may simply be released itself as a separate ship.

As well as being cheap, in 2.0 it would be the only small base crew carrier for the Empire. This is very handy when flying in formation with TIE Fighters. As well as being medium based Adaptive Ailerons eliminates any hope of easily flying in tight formation with a Reaper.

It would be nice to see it back in the game, but I'm not hopeful.

Maybe there'll be a TIE/sh config in the Imp kit, we'll just have to wait and see.

I would love that, but is the bombadier a crew slot or a gunner slot?

Edit: just checked, the skilled bombadier is a gunner slot, so I can see that, but not a crew.

Gunner.

(Also there's not actually a Bombardier in the TIE/sa, it's all one guy. But Strikers have their bombs now and should have a gunner slot to go with it)

I was wondering if a Tie/Sh with squad leader as talent (ad a red "coordination" action, but you can only coordinate actions you have), with a tactical officier ( change your red "coord" for a white) could be a cool support ship

It should be in the game. It was in Rebels so it's perfectly canon, and does offer a little bit different from the Reaper (and is also small base!).

There is nothing to suggest that these are indeed TIE shuttles. I'm not refuting that there is a possibility, just that there is nothing shown there, or in Empire, that these are anything other regular bombers.

I'm all for options, but not if it excludes a particular ships modus operandi.

The TIE shuttle steps on the role of the Reaper, but only from a legends source.

The TIE shuttle card for 1.0 came into being as a fix for a ship that was underperforming. Theoretically, the new TIE bomber has more options (squirrely bombs) and is hopefully more balanced in terms of cost, so it can do all we ever see the chassis do canonically, that of dropping bombs.

Of course the Empire does have ships that will perform similar roles - the Striker now has bombs, that it can't reload, so it is possible the TIE shuttle could get an update.

What was Cadet Hobbie doing in the bomber, then?
