So, since it's being shipped out, I thought I'd be the first to start up this thread to see where the book starts coming out first!
I have my copy from FFG now, and it's so pretty!
The art is amazing in it, it's honestly gorgeous to look at.

Are there any good maps in it?. Maybe, say...of the FootFall area, etc?
There are a couple of maps, but no detailed ones. Each planet does have about 3-4 pages worth of information on them though, which gives you enough to never need to make up stuff for them, but leaves enough breathing room to allow some customisation.
The areas of Footfall that are described are good though, it does describe the place better than the corebook did.
Cool, can't wait. I'm a map junkie, but I really love do FFG's descriptive view of the Calixis Sector as well. And it just gives me an excuse to start work on my own uber map of Footfall based on that. Thanks for the info!
Cant wait to get this. Hope it makes up (IMHO) for the how aweful Ascension was.
Just a personal opinion and view on recent 40KRPG books. If RT and Ascension are a flag for what we have coming our way in Deathwatch, hoo boy.

Please share when done

I can understand why they didn't include a map though. Footfall is about the size of... say, a small continent, spread over a dozen or so asteroids linked up together by tunnels, bridges and chains.
Yeah, that's a big volume of space to map. What I'll most likely end up doing is a general map of the asteroid field and the facilities they contain. and a map(s) that expand on the ones that are important to the P.C.'s. I have'nt tried to post pics on this forum, so we'll see about posting any finished maps here. Not sure how FFG will react to fan made maps, either. Maybe I'll be better off with Dark Reign for that.

From what I've seen, FFG welcome fan-made stuff on their forums, otherwise they wouldn't have the houserules section and the like.
Still, I know personally that I wouldn't complain about you putting it on Dark Reign

So how's about some reviews, spoilers and an overview (plus some of the bits that got cut from our helpful playtesters)?
We aren't allowed to talk about bits that were cut, NDAs and all that jazz. Possibly because it might make it's way into another book, or something like that.
As for a review, that's one of the reasons I got my copy slightly early, so I could see the final thing and write up a review. However, two birthday parties and a car crash in the last few days have taken up my time somewhat, so I'll try to have that written up and posted here and on Dark Reign in the next few days.
Store called last night, my copy is in. Picking it up at lunchtime.
I'll try and have a review for it written up and posted by this evening. Stupid research projects and the like got in the way of doing it last night
It is interesting. I'll post spoilerish thoughts in the GM section (so as not to give anything away to players, so stay out of the GM section you!).
I expect my store will have it tomorrow. Wednesdays seem to be the earliest in the week they get any new product that's just coming out.
Given that I spent over an hour writing the review and I'm still no-where near finished, I'll try and have it up by later today.
Anything on the Strixis in Lure of the Expanse, Millandson? They're the most intriuging Xenos race to me...
A few bits and pieces, yes. Descriptions of their ships, a picture or two of the Stryxis themselves, that sort of thing. You do run into them at one point too
I promise I'll have my review up for this weekend. I hate coursework
I have it.
It's good. Very good. I'm still reading through the adventure bits, and they seem solid.
But the great stuff is in the gazzateer sections and the examples they give us of some neat things in the NPC section...which I won't outright name, due to spoilers. Also, it helps clarify the difference between Endeavors that are operations you can have NPC henchmen run for you, and the big adventure-session or -campaign size Endeavors.
All around a great book, and helpful even if you're not planning on running the actual adventure set.

Cool. Do want!
Just ordered it through Fishpond, after the store gave me a $10 discount as I haven't ordered from them in a while. So it's costing me $35 AUS, including delivery.
Ordered my copy from Gameslore yesterday, just got the email it's dispatched today.
Not bad for the UK...
...Now have to wait to read up about the Eldar, and hopefully the Stryxis if they get more coverage.
Rictus
I've seen this in stores now, but I just got a message that my Amazon preordered book is going to be delayed in shipping, from May (original estimate) to June 14. Wow.
Amazon is weird.
I've finished reading through the adventure.
Wow. This is the first published adventure I've wanted to run in over ten years.
