So can these work? The squad wing is designed to operate independently of the rest of the ships (duh), but cannot gain anything from Dodonna outside of precision strike, which I doubt many people would take, seeing the threat it presents with dodonna. Besides that, fighter ambush and superior positions seem like the best choices for objectives.

So yeah, any other commentary? I mainly want to know if a “plug and play” approach works for YT-2400s, like just making a 280ish point list that cannot push squads for its life, or does the fleet need some deeper synergy with the rogue squads?

This is beautiful. The YTs don’t benefit from Precision Strike, as they lack bomber. I’d bring Hyperspace Assault over Fighter Ambush; you get to keep your deployments and it’s more useful against carrier fleets. Dodonna wants to be on Admo, as it’s by far the most resilient ship and the whole fleet is up close and personal.

I thought of that, and am still considering Cracken. However, those 6 pts must come from somewhere, so I like dodonna better. And as for Sato, I'm not sure which dice I would want to upgrade, as my ships are optimized for ship-to-ship combat. Plus he's 12 pts more expensive, which is basically a whole YT-2400
