Curious if this was already covered - Optimized Prototype could cause the defender to flip one facedown damage card - is the card random or does the defender choose?

Glad about slicers, but they're not super great (jam tokens still fall off when green tokens are there) unless you got bumps involved and they in no way justify jamming beam. Action might become relevant, though. Maybe.
That dial is sadly **** city, though. Even if you can approximate turns with double banks, they're long and fiddly as ****. Gonna have the same problem as 1e Bombers

I kinda like it. Things are fast as nonsense, but they aren’t pulling any dime turns. Fits the ship very well imo

Still, I like ailerons and Feroph's ability was made for me. Depending on how Vader (crew) works, these guys could be scary
I looks like these cards are using an old template design, as they don't match the cards from the conversion kits.
Also, Jamming Beam still looks useless, but the action might be okay depending on the cost of the ISB Slicer.
Only for imps tho. Not complaining, just noticing
Jam also continues to work against Locks in 2.0, which is a relief.
Therefore, with ISB Slicers as well, there is a use for Jamming Beams.

Jammer Gunboats need a support ship with slicers to lock down a ship's offensive actions.

They play very differently. Feroph is a pseudo tank. Vader is great with Vermeil for superoffense.
Vader, Slicer, Vermeil. Outmaneuver if you have points for it. Its probably not a super expensive ship, I imagine its a third of your list max. But it they let it stick to something, that thing is going DOWN. No mods, no locks, no escape.

What i mean is theres several abilities that are conditional die mods that work BOTH ways. Even more unusual when the Reaper has 1 agi, so the defensive ability is pretty weak by comparison to the 3 attack.
More than likely i'll either be using a generic for pennies cheaper so it JUST fits with what im doing or the pre-maneuver coordinate guy (which enables him to do the red coordinate then immediately clear it via blue maneuver).

Sure, but then you are dedicating a large amount of your list for jamming shenanigans instead of doing damage. Taking a whole additional support ship to make jamming beam suck less is not a good idea, why not just equip a useful cannon instead?
