While aware of what an atst can do during battle car selection I'm going to.push the issue to where limited visibility or deployment winds up in corners. Leia walks around with fleet troopers sitting on I jectives while luke goes of and does luke things. I don't worry as much on the atst as I'll focus on trooper units. They can't take objectives when they are dead. Activation spam does help make that happen.

Your Anti-Veers list is so close to mine that it was fun to think of how I would counter it. The list feels very lop-sided and situation specific but, hey, that's what the thread called for :)

  1. It feels weird to run Luke and Leia naked (but hey, those darn twins, armirite?)...
  2. But, given your list, having concussion grenades on almost each team along with the extra guy and scatter/Z-6 seems like it might tip the match in my favor.
  3. Same thinking with the dual AT-RT flamethrowers - if they can get close enough, they can wreak havoc and if they can't, they distracted the enemy from other targets and hopefully allowed me to close the gap.
  4. Leia would play Coordinated Bombardment first to give 3 of your guys a suppression and then run around with her Royal Guard of Fleet Troopers creating mayhem with panache
  5. Luke would use the Force to figure out where you impostors had come from ;)

I haven't encountered a dual atst list yet but that seems like a logical counter to it.

I am surprised not to see any MPL-57 Ion Troopers. If they are not even useful against 2 AT-ST, which is well over half the army, they must never be useful in any scenario. They directly counter AT-ST.

Not to break the thread premise, but...

No, it seems there is very little use for Ion. Imperials only get them in Snowys, and they are better off with flamers. Speeders are fairly easily killed without Ion and AT-RTs as well.

Rebels are best off not shooting at AT-STs and just killing troopers for objectives. It may be worth 10 points to take an activation off an AT-ST, but it's a tough thing to pull off, and impacts or Luke are better at actually killing one.

Until both sides get more competitive vehicles (fingers crossed) I think that Ion will stay painted and unplayed.

I haven't had the luck orvuse for ions. Against the dual atst I'm killing objective takers. Because there is less of them than i have. once troops are dead hide out of los.

While they aren't out yet, throwing some E-webs in the list might work against a list like the one quoted above.

A slow plodding list, but one that has some defensive potential and can still pack a punch in the late game via flamethrowers, the E-webs not losing efficiency by taking wounds like a trooper unit would, and Vader, who I feel does much better in late game scenarios when units are wounded and closer. Initially, I thought that this list might benefit more from the aim tokens of Veers, but the extra suppression from Master of Evil and the potential with the snowtroopers via New Ways to motivate them (getting an extra free action) was too good to pass up.
