HighbridgeDesign on Etsy has all of the tokens you need for 2.0, all tokens that are double sided are actually double sided and cost $5 for 5, and the single sided are $4 for 5. these prices look good to me, but I have never bought acrylics.

those are pretty nice looking.

At least around me, no one would freak if you used a square, red tractor beam token instead of a round, orange one. If you have some acrylics you really like, I'd say keep using them. There's always the cardboard ones for when you're playing with "those people". (Who I've never actually met playing X-wing, but I keep being told that they exist.)

The thing is though, the new style tokens are so nice looking. Why would you want to use those busy confusing ones? I love everything they did with the iconography and color coding, and even the clean simple look of the graphics. Greebles and detail look great on my Y-wing, but I want to be able to detect my tokens from the other side of the table and in less than ideal light. Keep 'em clean, I say.

I've got *ahem* some influence at Highbridge Designs. What tokens would you all want to see in a kit?

Here's a proposal:

Kit A "2.0 New stuff"

• Charge 10x
• Shield 10x
• Force Tokens 5x
• Calculate 5x
• Target Locks 1-5
• Acrylic Arc Indicators (2 Large/Medium 1-ways, 2 Large/Medium "bowties", 2 Small 1-way)

Kit B "2.0 Status Tokens"

• Tractor Beam 5x
• Jam 5x
• Disarmed 5x
• Ion 5x
• Stress 5x
• Crit 5x

Edit: Actually, ten stress in kit B would make more sense as there are so many ways to become double or triple stressed.

Honestly, I'd probably buy it, and I've never bought acrylics before (still holding out for pip templates that have range rulers in the right width and offer a ship marker...)

I just ordered from HighbridgeDesign everything so Ive been over thinking this.

For a single player I think you may need more than 10 Charge - one ordinance can have four charges for example. I would go at least 15.

Focus and Evade should be at least 5 - if your upgrading to acrylic why not upgrade everything.

Reviewing the rules and weapons as we know them its very possible with or against a specialised squad you could do or receive more than 5 Ion, Stress, and possibly Tractor and Jam.

Most notably Ion. One Ion shot could load you up with 3 for example. Big ships hang onto theirs. Some crits also give you Ion. So I would go 10 for Ion and Stress.

I hadn't thought about arc indicators. Good idea.

And if you plan to run both sides of the board everything needs to double thats 5 or 10 now.

Shields are not tokens in 2.0, they are ‘markers’, same as charge and force markers. Tokens can be removed, markers are ‘flipped’ or recovered or what ever terminology they use now.

I believe you are supposed to physically flip the card when you change them. My question is whether you are required to keep opening/closing them on the table. The one video demo I have seen they were doing it all the time, but that may have just been some sort of marketing thing ("look what the x-wing can do now!")

I get that, but I don't see myself replacing all my 1.0 X-wings. A reminder token would help a forgetful player like myself.

Agreed it would be a useful double sided marker to have.

Probably in blue (like cloak which hangs around) and oblong or hexagon, to fit an x-wing showing open and closed s-foils.

So PWT (Dash) require dual-sided arcs.

Does anyone know if there are any small-based PWT or dual-sided turrets of any kind in 2.0?

Currently there aren't any small based turrets, primary or otherwise that are dual-sided.

Ought to just be a double-sided token with the Config icon, whatever that looks like.

As a side-note, has FFG ever touched the legality of the old 1.0 tokens in 2.0? Many of the old prize acrylics are the wrong shape: stress is a triangle, disarm and tractor beam are square etc.

I haven't heard that they've said specifically, but I'd be shocked if they were to picky about it. As long as you and your opponent are on the same page with what's going on, it's probably all good.

This is the same company that allowed someone to use store championship challenge coins as shield markers at a premier event.

And, as always, for your local store tournaments, ask your TO. I think most places are pretty flexible.

HighBridge just added the perfect set for 2.0! It costs a lot less because there are no shield tokens.
