Respond to Vigilant Elector's Action

By EchPiEl, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

If I respond to Vigilint elector's Action with some action that will destroy it, would it attach to it's target from the discard pile?

It's bothering me because Elector's Action cost is just "pay 1" not "pay 1 and attach it to" so before it's action resolves, it's still a Unit.

yes it is.

you can respond to it while it's still a unit.

when the effect resolves it is a support-attachement card

If you responded to VE's action by playing an action that destroyed it, I would say it still attaches from the discard pile, because it's effect is still on the stack. So, yes.

i agree, IMO, the only thing that should destroy VE's ability is something like Pillage or Demolition

or Burn it Down (with 3 dev in BZ?)

I'm not understanding why it becomes a support card. It still says unit on the card, and its text never says it loses that or becomes a support card. it merely gains the attachment trait.

"Here is the official answear from James Hata:

Viligant Elector should say that it counts as an Attachment support card. This will be reflected in the next FAQ update. If you do use his action between assign damage and apply damage, then he does change into an attachment and the assigned damage will no longer be relevant. Once he becomes an attachment, he also counts as a support card (again the errata will fix this) instead of a unit."

well thanks for clearing that up.
