Battle Report - Brobots vs Y wings

Hi everyone,

My gaming group has just started filming battle reports. We would greatly appreciate it if you could watch and give us any feedback on the issue as well as all the constructive criticism you can think of.

Wow those Brobots took the Y-wings apart!

I thought it would be an interesting matches seeing as Autoblaster cuts right through the Aggressors agility. But the Y-wings just weren't able to keep them at range one.

Yeah, unfortunately the brobot player played super well, and didn't really make a bad play through the first few rounds of the game and managed to get some sneaky good dice rolls.

There was a rematch after this one but unfortunately the camera died so we couldn't record it, and the y wings managed to force a brobot into the corner and almost killed it in one round.

We really want to try a similar match again but with some more range on the y wings to keep them in the game longer.

Out of curiosity, is there anything you didn't like about the battle report? Audio? Too much rambling?

I'd enjoy seeing some more of your matches. Audio was fine and I could easily tell which ships and upgrades you had, even on my small phones screen.

I thought you explained everything really well together and I loved the Northern English rambling.

I like to play Brobots (My first two ships) but I've never used a crackshot list, always going for asymmetric cannons PTL, and ADV.SENS.

How did the asymmetric list work for you? I've never tried ptl/advanced sensors brobots, they seem really fun!

They are really fun!

With B taking an Ion Cannon and C taking the HLC.

Then add Contraband cybernetics, and autothrusters.

As long as you've dialed in a green maneuver, you can focus and evade or focus and boost and still get an evade while C is alive.

And while B is alive you don't need to bother with attack mods as you get the second cannon shot.

Range three they are nearly untouchable with focus evade and autothrusters.

A good trick is to lead with C who is more of a priority with the HLC and switch him out and let B take more damage next. If you can offer better shots on each aggressor on alternate rounds they stay alive much longer and keep the abilities till the end of the game.

Be very careful with the cybernetics!

These are a last resort and if used while stressed, to execute a red maneuver and then to push the limit. You will end up with four stress and no more actions for four turns!

But if it's the right play, it can win a match and also be spectacularly silly.

Often it's not used, as you can use advanced sensors to take a single action before a red maneuver.

But it gives you unique option like a post sloop/kturn boost or double action into a red manuveur.
