Forced: and Continuous Effects

By EchPiEl, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

Ok, the question may look simple, but it's causing us trouble.

Can Forced: and Continuous effects be responded to? The rules state that they can't be either modified nor cancelled, but I don't know if this also means that you can't play an acion "in response" to them, so your action resolves before the Forced or Continuous.

Also, Shoouldn't Cloud of Flies have other effect type? It looks like a kind of effect that a lot of people would want to respond to, and as it is now it's not even a Forced: .

Forced and continuous effects: no, you can't respond to them.

Cloud of Flies: yes, you can respond to that effect since it isn't forced. It's an optional action that can only be played at the beginning of your turn.

Here's how all the beginning of turn stuff works. There is an action window at the beginning of your turn before your Kingdom phase. During that action window, you may play all your "at beginning of turn" forced effects or actions in any order. You can only play each one once that turn - so, for example, Rat Ogres can only restore all your Skaven units once in the action window, and Cloud of Flies can only activate once in the action window.

There's an errata to Cloud of Flies I'm not aware of? Because I checked the card, and has no Action: on it. In fact, the way it's written, it's a Continuous Effect.

Yeah, you're right. It is probably a "bug" in the card - that should be an action for sure since it isn't forced and it's a "may" effect. I'd send it in to James but I'll bet it ends up working the way I posted above.

Are you sure about that? Dont we have to execute forced: effects before we can make any action: ?

forced happen before because they automatically stack at the beginning of the turn and we cannot respond to them.

So forced first and then actions.
