It's not a major change or rule, but it did help with the overall role-play of a few characters. Since there is no mild form of Flesh is Weak, use the minor obsession of self mutilation as a stepping stone. Tried it out as two characters had same obsession; one turned to cutting the other extreme piercings. I figured it would make sense the cutter would turn to body part replacement as the obsession grew.

I agree. Any rule tweak that adds to the atmosphere of the game is a good tweak indeed. Thanks, I will impliment this when the occassion arises!
An excellent visual for this would be Ghosts of Mars, where the people start with a little scratching, then gouging, then using stuff to carve themselves up, and eventually pretty major body modification and scarification.
