Get the most out of "coordinate" action

So I picked up the Sheathipede shuttle and really like the little bug ship. Especially the coordinate action seems really cool. I haven't been able to find anyone discussing or describing good ways to make use of this. What is the best way to take advantage of this ability that you have found or seen?

I thought that build mostly abused fenn's ability more than the coordinate action.

No, PS11 coordinate also is a major part of its strength. It is the reason why those Ghosts pack Engine Upgrade - large base boost at the very highest PS possible.

Coincidentally, that is how you make the best use of coordinate.

There are two really good uses for co-ordinate:

  • High PS Co-ordinate (VI Fenn Rau) - allow a ship to perform an action after everyone else has moved to:
    • avoid or line up a shot
    • give a token after being unexpectedly blocked and skipping its own perform action step
  • Low PS Co-ordinate (AP-5, Upsilon Shuttle) - allow a ship to perform an action then either
    • Push the limit (to get a second action) and perform a green move, clear the stress and get a third action
    • Perform a red move, receive stress, but still have the benefit of performing an action
