Honor and Steel
That GM Screen art is so perfect.
Still not sold on the funny dice, but, eh, it's FFG.
Production values look GREAT, because hey, it's FFG.
So excited for the news! Now we just need a less vague release date!
What we can learn from the article:
- Custom Dice, unchanged from the Beta.
- Techniques remain in the format they were presented in the RPG Beta. However, there will be the inclusion of "Ninjutsu" as a category of Technique.
- Character Creation remains in a "20 Questions" format. Unknown if an "a la carte" Character Creation system will be offered.
- Core Book price tag: $49.95; Custom Dice price tag: $12.95; GM kit price tag: $19.95
- Advantages and Disadvantages remain
- Equipment is going to be important to this game! They are devoting an entire chapter to it. Time will tell if it will be a "best toys will win" game or not.
Right now, the game is appearing to be a standard FFG product. It will be VERY pretty, and have clearly defined areas for commercial expansion. I would not expect the game to be significantly different from the RPG Beta which was available earlier, mechanically. Just slightly finer tuned.
Kami, it looks beautiful. But still have very low exceptions for the system itself; that includes my gaming group as well.
I forgot this edition was the end of the world and we all have to hate it! My mistake... Commits seppuku

And, as I had to realize, delivery doubles the cost if you want to order your stuff from FFG

The Beta had this as well. They need the space because of the new Quality system.
Also, I must say, that specific piece of art made me chuckle. They ain't pillow fighting, if you know what I mean.
