I’m not a fan of how cut games currently turn out.

I fully support tournaments changing to round robin top four with the standard scoring.

Euros reported back to FFG that we dont like the cut and want a round robin format for top 4.

im hearing NOVA is ran and going to be ran with a mini swiss for the top 8 as well?

Sadly i dont think the Australian Nationals will run a top 4 round robin or a top 8 swiss. I'd like to think that leading up to the event we could change that.

It is indeed. @IceQube MkII ran it that way last year to very favorable reviews from the group of 8. I heard at least a couple say they were the best three games of Armada they've ever played because a) they were going for broke and b) they were having to do so against the best of the best.

An interesting read, I think you are spot on and that says everything about single elimination that's wrong, it does not serve as a fitting end to an event.

Being at Nova last year, it made watching the top 8 much more exciting.
