But back on topic...
I didn't care for the "Mortis Arc" at first, but over time as the modern shape of "Star Wars" revealed itself I came to see it differently.
The "Mortis Trinity" are what came "before" and represent what the Jedi and the Sith were becoming, so to say. Without being as explicit, each group had a stranglehold on their philosophies to the point where they may as well have said "we are the Light Side" or "we are the Dark Side".
In actuality, they were just squabbling siblings that really did know A LOT but missed the point.
I can see Force-Users, many many generations after Rey, looking back on the Jedi and the Sith in more godly terms. TLJ was about that fallacy. ****, we fans started doing it after ANH, in our own ways.
This is one of the things I liked most about the Guardians of the Whills concept in R1. It seemed less about reaching out to the Force and forging a connection and more about opening to the Force and being receptive when it reaches out to you. Servants, not Masters.
My Argument against the Father, Son, Daughter

It is not a personification. It is 3 arrogant entities making claims. Just because they make the claim does not make it true.

I'm the personification of money and you owe me a thousand bucks. This is true because I say it is and I'm really wealthy.
Okay, I finally watched these episodes. I have to say, they were not nearly as troubling as I anticipated. I'm still not sure how I feel about introducing such powerful "Force wielders" into the Star Wars mythology, but it's clear to me that they are not the Force, merely representations of their own interpretations of the Force, and potentially just a particularly powerful vision (though that doesn't entirely make sense).
