At this point if they don’t announce something soon, we won’t get a wave this year. Thrawn and Raddus were late and I count them as a 2017 release. It’s getting to be really frustrating.

Armada is the ONLY Star Wars product currently offered by FFG with ZERO new products in the Upcoming Products list.

The whole story is right there.

I love this game, think the balance right now is great, and happily play it with a small group of dedicated fans. But, ****. It feels cold out here.

I think even if there is a GenCon announcement, it'll be so long from the announcement to actual in retail, that will cause some of the player base to finally be done.

FFG should throw official support to an online version and sell that then.

While the lack of news is frustrating and dare say affecting some communities, not a whole lot we can do about it.

I really am at a loss here.

I get not announcing anything early this year when it would step on Legions’s toes. I even get the embarrassment that was the Star Wars Event, and not wanting to steal X-Wing 2.0’s thunder. Yeah it sucked, but it wasn’t world ending.

What in the world is the hold up now? Every week that they hold off is just making it harder on themselves. At this point what announcement could ever live up to the hype and disappointment of their cryptic “Something big?”

A new campaign? No way. SSD? Unless the Rebels are getting a huge ship too, no. Armada 2.0? Most likely not.

Maybe if we got a 4 ship wave, a new campaign, and a huge base ship... that could live up to the excitement. I doubt that will happen.

I have a bad feeling that what will end up getting will have a big chunk of the fan base roll their eyes and walk away because it just won’t have been worth the wait.

I honestly wish FFG would just announce the game is dead instead of letting us sit in limbo.

Yeah, agree.

I wanted to sell my xwing collection, to invest more in 40k(started in with the money not spent on armada). Euros hyped me up for armada once again. But this situation makes me change my mind to keep xwing as it will run for years for sure, while armada is uncertainity. If I had 11 units of love, 10 is for armada and 1 for x, but it might be wise to jump off the ship as long the collection has some value. Once they declare it dead, it will worth less than the plastic its made of. Sorry for the negativity, really. But you understad me for sure. Ill visit uk nationals for sure, and highly likely the german as well. If there are no news by that time, Ill wave goodbye and buy conversion kits for xwing

Just throwing this out there, because the ineptitude of FFG toward Armada is just staggering... There is a "State of the LCG" article in the News section right now. In said article, these exact words are used:

"Because information and perspective is almost always healthier than rampant speculation, I spoke with FFG Head of Studio Andrew Navaro and Card Game Manager Mercedes Opheim, as well as the various developers of our LCGs, and put together the following report on the state of the LCG."

According to that, FFG seems to know/feel that something, anything is better than "rampant speculation". Yet they've provided us with nothing concerning Armada. They SERIOUSLY need some better PR people...

One of my friends already sold his collection. And now some are looking at X-Wing 2.0 because they already have some ships. We all play Legion as well because Armada died in my area. Lack of content drove the game into staleness.

It would seem they are waiting on something. What that could be is beyond my ability to discern. It can’t be the Star Wars license. It can’t be any gameplay mechanics.

Maybe they hope all interest in it will whither on the vine, and they can quietly sweep the system under the rug while they focus on the big money makers they hope X-Wing and Legion will be.

I live in a decent size city, over 300k pop, and the game was already struggling prior to 2018. The lack of news this year seems to have put the nail in the coffin.

You Rebel scum need to cut back on the demand for "balance," while you're still a couple of ships ahead of the Empire.

The Empire should get the SSD, and the Rebels need to just suck it.

My biggest issue with the news drought is how staggeringly bad FFG is at community involvement and communication with this game. Having a community manager just pop in to say, "Something big is still coming. Watch for news at Gencon," or, "We're just swamped with Legion and X-Wing 2.0 right now but we are still committed to Armada," would do WONDERS!

This is maybe hard on FFG but I think there is some (or even many) of the Armada player who think this :

For myself, I think that they could give us more information, more thematics news, more Armada content.

IMHO, they don't need to release more wave per year, just more hype. More people will heard about Armada, more people will want to play that wonderfull game.

And it will cost a big nothing to FFG, there is only benefit with this little change of perspective. Give to your crowd and your crowd will give you!

I mean this in all seriousness Games Workshop has become a better company then FFG. Where as a few years ago this was not a case. I am hoping for Armada news soon, but we won't get any new wave until at least Christmas time. If an announcement dose not come before Gen Con I don't think it will come at Gen Con as X-wing 2.0 will be released then from my understanding. I am hopeful that the game will continue as I love it and have grown a pretty strong community out here, and new players show up almost every tournament/game night, but I grow more and more doubtful every week that passes, Friday is not far off so hopefully we get something, but I won't get my hopes up. I love this game and will still keep it when it does finally die, which I hope is far off.
