Hmmmmm? Idk? Your thoughts?
IF you had the power to change one rule (FAQ) what would it be?

(I know it's more than one).
De-nerf TRCs and Avenger.
My dual ISD II PT fleet is basically too janky to even play any more.
Used to be a day when I could tap 2 ships then hit 2 ships and it would almost be effective. Nowadays there's just easier ways to jank.

Couldnt agree more with this!
Advanced Projectors should allow redirecting one damage to each hullzone against XI7 Turbolasers!
Errata Avenger so that the defender can only spend one exhausted defense token and then remove the exhaust cost from it.
Puts it in line power/cost ratio-wise with Mon Karren instead of it being just stapled to the 1st ISD in nearly every list
Flotillas limit. Not counting for tabling seems enought to me.

AP vs XI7

This.
Many good ones here already.
With them being taken, I'd probably go for Relay chain being legal. It would take some real planning, and have multiple exploitable weaknesses to pull off a Relay chain, I feel the designers missed the mark here with something that would have increased the strategic and tactical element of squadron play. (kind of like how the old Avenger worked.)
Now they made it cookie cutter, park your Relay squadrons at range of activating ship...(which will be inside your own fleets threat projection radius) and profit.

This entry should include the following bullet point:
“A ship cannot equip more than one copy of the same upgrade
card.”
Utterly ridiculous. I should be able to TRC twice on my squids....
?
I dunno - I might toy around with increasing the limit of flotillas. I figure between the relay nerf, and flotillas not counting as ships in terms of being tabled, I doubt anyone running twelve of them anymore is at any real advantage.....

I can’t remember where I heard it, but I like the idea that you can have a flotilla for every capital ship. MSUs with flotillas could still be viable, but Fish Farms would still be dead and flotillas couldn’t be used solely for activation padding.
A'm the one with Advanced Projectors and XI7 errata fix, though reinstate Yavaris ability to move squadrons with FCT and then shoot twice is also good point for me.
"A fleet cannot spend more than 25% of its fleet points, rounded up, on squadrons."
I love squadrons and they should be a key part of fleets, but IMHO they're too fiddly with all the keywords and AoE and combinations. They take too much time to play when players have a little bit of analysis paralysis or don't play them in large numbers often enough to know exactly what to do. Just reduce the number you can take by a little bit and I think it would speed up game play and be a little less annoying for both players. That would probably necessitate an un-nerf of other things though.

Seconded

So you both wish to render the Quasar-fire useless?

I would never want that... I love that ship.... easiest points in game ;-p.
Errata Yavaris to 35 points

How exactly would it be useless? As long as your list has 4+ squadrons in it, the Quasar will push them in a single activation and it can still attack the same as it can today.

I have 5 bombers.
Hey presto! NO more squadron points for any bomber support!
I might as well have brought a VSD at that point.

I still don't understand how this explains your math that 100 points of squadrons instead of 134 points of squadrons = worthless Quasar. Are you saying that a quasar is worthless unless you have 5 bombers + other squadrons for support? Or are you saying that a specific list that you prefer would not be viable with 34 less points of squadrons in it?

The Quasar exists to punt an insane number of squads across the board.
It was "balanced" for 134 squadron points. It wouldn't have as much versatility if the squadron-cap was lowered.
(btw, this is entirely my opinion. I'd honestly be happy if they removed the point limit entirely on squadrons...)
