So I saw my old bud and fave Vinto in some high placing band from a tourney report and I even saw Bossk mentioned even if I dont know if it ranked very high in the tourney.

But what unexpected figures have you seen in high finishing reports latley?

Durng the Europ Champs, I was surprised by:

• Obi Wan
• Vinto
• No-IG Merc lists in general

I was very intrigued by Arviss' worlds list (as I have mentioned in several threads now! :)). But after trying it, Vinto is solid and backed by the eClawdite is very good. Getting the first surge to keep hiding is strong, and with Rapid Fire he can even get rid of multiple tokens before he dies. I usually rarely put more than one offensive token on a dude, since they might die before getting off two attacks - not Vinto though!

The AT-DP, Terro, 2x eJet 1x rJets and others were also very intrigueing. Especially Terro I've had a hard time getting succes with.

I hear Asohka was the MVP of Worlds ?

I hear Ahsoka is the worst and no one should ever use her. Props on getting her to top 16

I think MHD and to a lesser extent Ahsoka in the top 16 at worlds are two prime examples. But Terro in the top 4 definitely takes the cake. Not that Terro is a poorly cost figure, but just seeing him there versus all these cookie cutter meta lists was very refreshing and easy to cheer for.

Its awesome to see all those cool figures put to use. I read in bretpkellys report that he Went up against a Shyla as well, even though I dont really know how that panned out for that player.

Awesome to see Obi in play as well as well as many others. Good times.

Don't forget that DT won worlds 2 years ago with a Shyla/Onar list. I have a hard time believing that list would not have done decent still.

2017 was last year

We had a tournament this past weekend where 2 squads had MHD. One player went 3-0 and the other lost a close game to go 2-1. Another player had Dengar, who merc'd a lot of figures in 1 game, but perhaps was not as good in the others.

I had the same experience in a similar setting. The best part was sitting down across from a guy who brought a fun list with Vader and two Rancors.

Verena... if there was ever a time for you to shine, this is definitely going to be it

I was toying with bringing her out for that exact same reason a few months back. I chickened out.

I had drokkatta, ashoka, verena, jarrod, 3po, gideon, hera, balance, heroic. In every game there was a 3 dice attacker. Her command card is amazing btw.

How is this the first time I've ever read about her success on here? I swear it's a credit to the game. You can now start fitting in oddball characters into lists and still do well. Crazy. Love it.
