Fast Enough - Lando's Falcon 2nd Ed

It's a shame we can't get the escape pod on the Rebel YT (I'm assuming, here).

We can hope we get it, though it will likely be locked behind the Lando Falcon title, and really there is nothing stopping you from adding it in a casual game. Not to mention it will have the standard mandibles so it gives yet another option for people when they want to field a YT-1300 without the escape craft.

Not sure if this has been said yet, but this release seems to show that FFG are getting more detailed information before movie releases now, and we get a better product for it!

I would hope so, but I think if that were the case we'd likely see Beckett as a gunner upgrade. Still, if they can at least push back the tie-in releases of the ships til after the film so that they could get actual named characters, and the right name of the ship on the craft to the printers I would definitely appreciate it. I mean it is nice getting new toys with the films but at the same time I'm sure we all here would much rather fly PS9 Poe than stand in name "Red Ace".

The fact they have real character names gives me hope. That's a step in the right direction.

Yeah good points. The detachable cargo chute is what made me think they had some Insider information, but you do bring up a good point about Beckett

Doesn't the Falcon have forward-mounted guns? Do we know if Lando had them or if they were a Han Solo addition? I wonder if the title will give the ship a front arc only attack value 3, leaving the mobile arcs at attack value 2...

I don't think they'll do that, just because then you leave your mobile arcs pointing to the sides and get 75% of the area covered. If anything it'll probably give you +1 red dice out the front, or something equivalent.

Without knowing more than we do now, this seems like an upgrade over the 2nd edition jumpmaster, by a fair margin. Another 2-crew ship for Jabba to sit in, too. I wish there was a button on the top of the model that shot the nose pod out like a nerf weapon.

The real question, why the **** did we get a Han gunner (sitting in the pilot seat, not the turret) and a beckett crew, when beckett was literally the only person to use the turret?

Who could care? It’s not like that many people even saw the film.

Why do people talk as if being a support ship is a bad thing? Not every ship needs to be able to take on an entire list by itself.

^^^^ this.

I also have a pet peeve of people reducing a complex set of values and interactions to a single number (i.e. 2 dice primary = useless ship).

I have been more than a little skeptical about 2.0, but I appreciate bold choices and the idea that they are encouraging different build options. I have to admit that this took me completely by surprise (although it’s so obvious I should have seen it coming). The Falcon as a scum ship is brilliant and having the differentiated model works perfectly for this. Presumably a resistance falcon means 3/5 faction get a Millenium Falcon and Han is represented in all three. Am I wrong to secretly hope for an Imperial/FO Falcon?

As far as the Solo movie, I think history will be kinder to it than many of the other movies that fared better at the box office (ie the prequels and even Rogue One, which I liked but is still a pretty flawed movie). Solo is a fun episode from the Star Wars universe. People need to relax and enjoy things.

Back on topic, I'm on board with getting the Falcon for Scum. I'm curious to see how well the escape craft physically works (and how quick it would be to physically dock and unlock if you so desired).

Ah, shoot! Until you said this, I never considered that they might make the Phantom model capable of physically docking and undocking from the Ghost. It was one model I knew I wasn't going to buy again for 2.0. Now...not so certain. That could be really cool!

#NotMyFalcon

Cause it clearly states it belongs to Lando.....

Just had a thought. Run this next to the Hound's Tooth. "Escape Pods For Everyone!"

L3-37.. feeling like ][-][4x0r1n' anyone?

Ain't that old school. ?

I’m surprised no one has mentioned rebel pilot Han using the rigged cargo chute to enable his pilot ability.

Where is my destructive Barrel Roll?!

So.. I wonder if Lando is a pilot if the escape shuttle while L3-37 can pilot the Falcon that way Lando can dock with L3 — how does that work?

They are not compatible.

Personally I don't think it will see play. Balanced =/= interesting and it comes across as balanced. We already have docking and escape ships so that's not new and with all the 2 dice turret options does this really standout? You could now have Millenium Falcon + Slave 1 in a list together, so that's ... valid.

L3 was asking that question herself in the movie. :D

Han pilot's ability, obviously. XD

I really want Rio and Val crew, too.

The 2-attack on this thing does clarify why the jumpmaster was heavily nerfed into oblivion. If you want to fly a viable bumpmaster, buy this new $40 ship. Also, Han crew is possibly the single best crew in all of 2e so far. People are going to shell out $40 just for that crew card.

I was buying it anyway. If they're going to make good cards, I'm glad it's with movie characters. If the movie characters were bad in the game, some would complain that they're making us buy nobodies to get competitive cards. I am ok with FFG making money.

You know, it hadn't occurred to me that the Falcon wasn't available on Scum before. It just seems so obvious that I didn't realize it wasn't possible. It's sort of funny that it's the cleanest looking Falcon ends up on Scum in the end. I might get this if I end up going Scum (still trying to decide which faction to focus on in 2.0).

Are they though? What is in this pack that we didn't know from trailers, etc before hand? We knew characters names, we knew the front of the ship was an escape pod, etc. On the other hand, the only person we saw get into the turret of the falcon is in here as a crew card, while han is in it as a gunner, despite the fact that he never used the turret and we ahve a picture of him int he pilots chair.

Han isn't a crew, he's a gunner.
