Fast Enough - Lando's Falcon 2nd Ed

By RStan, in X-Wing

you can move the rock right infront of someone's deployment. Depending on who you can do this to (both ships in quesiton and rock placements) that could really throw them off.

Imagine running a tie swarm and that rock goes right in the middle of your "clear path" for your formation. I'd be really really irritated at that lol

Yep.. lets just start with the power creep that necessitated 2.0, amiright? ?

as for Beckett, he is situational. Moving an obstacle an opponent has placed? That has uses.

Technically Solo is closer to ROTS (9 years) than to ANH (10 years).

That and other factors virtually guarantees prequel factions in the future. Hopefully sooner than later.

In general most people though end up deploying on the sides or sideways, etc, where you can't blockt hem with a rock. For myself, if I'm set up int he middle somewhere it's frequently somewhere you wouldn't be able to put a rock in front of me anyway (aimed right next to a rock where I can go straight without hitting it, for example)

At least FFG was wise enough to launch it after the disaster instead of tying it to the hype and inevitable disappointment.

Oh look. It's The Agenda Strikes Back.

No disappointment here I'm afraid; I enjoyed it.

I love that Tobias Beckett card, such a beautiful mechanic!

About time they designed something to interact with obstacles like that.

Finally we get an Elite (1337) pilot!

Dockable shuttle which boosts the mothership screams Ghost to me. Ghost Falcon.

The expansion gives me the excuse to use L3-37 and see the droid die again. And again. And Again. Everyone wins!

I don't entirely mind that it's 2-attack. Fits the lore. Curious to see how much the escape shuttle helps and whether it can dock in game or only starts docked like the Hound's Tooth.

The escape shuttle has a printed forward arc. I assume this will mean it has some level of attack value.

Be curious to see if Lando's version of the Falcon has extra upgrade slots that Han basically destroyed or hard-wired when he took over the ship.

Glad you liked it, I liked R1 and TLJ. Didn't like this, still don't like it. Don't understand who likes it, many claimed that TLJ is at fault for this floping but how could anyone that doesn't like TLJ like this movie? :huh:Got me.

Han gunner on Boba pilot

******* ironic, ain't it?

Now, when do we get ourselves a Han and Boba buddy film?!

So this is cool. I wonder if this will open up the prequels now for ships like the Naboo fighter Et al.

It would always be nice to see PT era ships, especially with their correct factions and with the force upgrades it really opens the doors to Jedi pilots. With how many people seem to ask for the stuff I imagine that the Devs know their is a market for it.

Seriously I have Classic and TLJ Falcon and Beaked Nose over here is just makes me want to vomit. I am not going to run more than 2 YT-1300s

I guess I have to keep the escape pod.

But think about it this way, since the escape craft can be removed you can run it as a clean and stock YT-1300 mint with all the panels, or could add the escape craft possibly to the OT or ST era Falcon.

The real question, why the **** did we get a Han gunner (sitting in the pilot seat, not the turret) and a beckett crew, when beckett was literally the only person to use the turret?

Likely because they didn't see the film by the time that they designed the stuff and sent it to be printed, same reason with the other issues with the other tie in ships. At the very least they can now alter the upgrade bars even if they have issues with the stats, movement, or names for the craft.

But the question is, does she get an Elite Talent slot? :P

The size of the falcon compared to the base? Is it medium and not large? Nah it must be large.

I liked both. Liked solo a bit more.

I think its a case of Solo more or less having a more overall fun/light tone to it and not drastically changing OT character or killing them off. I felt Solo was a passable film, not good, not bad, but the new Falcon looked spiffy and the FFG model even more so. TLJ is a divisive film, and if you want to discuss that feel free to, but how about for this thread we drool at that model and talk about the new shiny expansion?

It's almost like different people have different tastes or something crazy like that...

Well Wave 14 was missing a scum release, so This looks like it, it just doesn't have a 1st edition equivalent. I guess the mouse wanted this to be 2.0 only. Not having 1st edition components you know is a mouse call. At least FFG was wise enough to launch it after the disaster instead of tying it to the hype and inevitable disappointment.

Do you like Star Wars? It seems like you really don’t tbh.

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet but looks like the docked shuttle acts sort of like the IG-2000 title as it lets the pilot use the docked shuttle pilot's ability as their own too.

I'm sure htat's exactly it (though they could have at least used art of han in a turret if htye're gonna make him a gunner!), I was just hoping that the fact that they didn't announced and release it alongside the movie might mean that they were going to take enough time to not make stupid mistakes as a result of not having seen the movie yet (ps8 poe, no missile on the silencer, etc). ****, just swapping han and beckett's titles and art would have been enough :(

Here was my quick review from Facebook :

I got back from Solo. Overall it was a good 'forgettable' movie. Emilia Clark was the highlight and the character “Rio” was pretty awesome. Oh and Chewbacca. I really hope Chewbacca does not have to carry anymore Star Wars films on his own. (Yet still did not get a medal or hug!) Everyone else was decent enough. Donald Glover is definitely no Billy Dee, but he worked well enough. Alden Ehrenreich is no Harrison Ford, but he works as well, better than I would have guessed. It is a solid ‘B’.

Yah, I enjoyed both TLJ and Solo, but I definitely liked Solo more. It's not that I dislike TLJ, it just had a lot of nitpicks and things that annoyed me, while Solo had few to none. And solo was the first of the new star wars films to feel like there was ANY travel time to hyperspace in that we actually got some scenes of people interacting on the falcon in hyperspace instead of just instantly arriving at the destination.

I actually liked it a lot. but I admit, I didn't go into it with hype, I went into it expecting disappointment, and I didn't see it opening weekend. I was rewarded.
