Cloak of Feathers

By Nerdmeister, in Talisman Rules Questions

Is it possible to use this items special ability in the inner region? (discard to move anywhere in your current region)

The wording on the card suggests you can, but if that is so, doesn´t the game turn into a who-can-beat-the-dark-lord-first-to-get-the-cloak-of-feathers-game?

First off, why do you need the Cloak, just beat the LoD by 8+, bam, you're at the Crown gran_risa.gif . Second, random Treasure draw = problem solved (or at least down to 1/10 chance).

As to the question itself, yes, you can Cloak on the Inner Region.

with that in mind Dan

Can you cloke to the crown, is that considered part of the inner region or a seperate part since its the center of the board?

Also if you cloke to the area right before the crown do you still need a talisman?

Crown of Command is part of the Inner Region, that's why you can use Transference to swap places with another char who is on the CoC, while you're at, say, Plain of Peril.

If you Cloak (or Transference) to the Valley of Fire, you'd need a Talisman, otherwise can't do it. But why you would move to the VoF when you can move to the CoC, well, that's another matter entirely.
