Quick build cards are not in conversion kits. What is the demand for conversion kit quick build deck?

By TylerTT, in X-Wing

Believe it or not quick build cards are my most anticipated feature of 2.0.

while they are prefect for new players I also think they will greatly benefit casual players with large collections.

the larger a collection a player has the more complex list building becomes and having something to narrow the options sounds like a godsend.

but the quick build cards are not in the conversion kit,

I would love to buy a deck of quick build cards for drafting and casual play. Would this also interest you?

i hope FFG can put together a POD quick build / draft deck for the retail launch of 2.0.

I would also love some quick build options from the conversion kits. They would be great for draft tournaments!

Just make quick build avaiable in app.

Someone mentioned in another thread that wave one content is included in the conversion kits but not listed. Don't know if this is true, just passing it along.

I think the quick build cards are very interesting for casual players. A few ppl I play with sometimes struggle to get decent lists on the table. They would be happy to have a starting point.

I would also be interested in quick build matches, even tournaments.

I can see ffg issuing tournaments a bit like quarter kits where you can only use ships from the quick build cards. These would be a great way to introduce newer players to tournaments

This - we don't know the full content of the app yet, but if there's a feature where you can select quick build pilots and print, this shouldn't be a problem.

Zero from me.

It's not like the quick build cards won't be available online within a day of release anyway, if you really feel the need for them.

Which I doubt I ever will.

There's always the possibiliy there might be "quick build only" tournaments/events. But again, available online as you said or app.

I made a load of quickbuild cards myself for x-wing 1.0

They aren't super lists but they were just so my friends could go through and pick some ships they liked or pilots and then play a game without all the overhead of understanding card interactions and what to pick.

There's no reason why we couldn't just all do something similar. Once we see the points costs equivalent of the wave 1 quickbuilds we could all just kit out some ships and give them an appropriate threat level. Throw in someone hat can photoshop and we could put together a decent set of them. Community project.

I think the possibility for some kind of draft format is the main reason I'd want some physical copies. But as long as there's some way of printing them then it should be fine.

The cards will be on the wiki if nothing else.

yeah, I'm pretty bummed they are not in the conversion kits. But hopefully, they'll show up in the app. they may be the reason that I end up buying all the ships all over again anyway.....

guess there is always ebay.

This. The quick build cards are just data. If they're not somehow represented in the app, you'll definitely still be able to read them.

The problem with the quick build cards in the other wave 1 products is they do not cover the ships that are in the conversion kit but not in wave one.

The conversion kits would require their own deck of cards to ensure that there were enough of each upgrade available that you could pair any of the cards together and not run short.

so I hope they make a deck for us to buy or maybe add quick builds to the app

It would make sense to me that these cards would be part of the "paper-only wave kits" that were hinted at - the ones so people don't have to buy multiple conversion kits and new ship expansions.
