Cavern Angel Zealot with Flight Assist Astromech, Renegade Refit, S-Foils, and Integrated Astromech comes out to 21 points before an Elite, which costs 1 point less. There hasn't been a PS 1 Elite before. What's the best PS for a blocker? 1. What's a cool Elite for blocking ships? Intimidation.
So you've got a PS 1 blocker with Intimidation for 22 points.
- Go with Four. You'll have 12 points for a PS 2 Z-95. It probably works. One X-Wing sets up the others for nasty Range 1 shots against a reduced-agility target. However, I kinda dislike the aesthetics of a PS 2 Zed just tossed in there, and wish there was some other option.
- Go with Three. That'll leave 34 points. Mostly, I think that'd be one more ship. Cool options would include Norra (VI, Rey, FAA is a cool build I've seen but haven't gotten on a table yet) or Jan Ors (Trick Shot, TLT, Nien Nunb, and Pulsed Ray Shield?). Buff one of your non-Blocking X-Wings up to a 5-Dice Range 1 shot, and also pepper a reduced agility target with TLT rounds.
-
Go with Two. This is only 44 points, leaving 56 to play with.
- Perhaps there's some sort of 5-ship list with two of these, two Z-95s with XX-23 S-Thread Tracers, and either 28 or 30 points of another ship, depending on whether you go for PS 2 or PS 4 Zeds. 2 Indimidation CAZ, 2 Tracer Talas, and a VI Wes Janson fits. That's going to be a fairly hard-hitting squad.
- Ezra and Lowhhrick can easily fill the squad. Standard Snap Shot/Hera/R3-A2 Ezra is 22 points, and adding in a Lowhrick up to 34 points works. That'd be, say... Draw Their Fire, C-3PO, and Rey. Perhaps Tactician, to further the nasty stress control, restricting your opponent to Green moves, and really setting up nasty blocks and murderizing them.
- Jess Pava is always great in swarm-ish lists. She'd be 28 points with M9-G8 and Integrated Astromech, and would pair well with either a VI Wedge or VI Wes.
- It's kinda tight to fit a large ship, but you can kinda get a Rey in there. Finn, Kanan, and the title leaves only 2 points. Maybe that's VI and a 1-point Illicit (Burnout SLAM is cool, or perhaps a Contraband Cybernetics to get a focus on a S-Loop), or going Trick Shot or Adaptability and Glitterstim would work. Ditching Kanan for Chopper and taking Expertise would also be potent, but it makes the S-Loops a lot worse.
- Perhaps this is the list for New Chewbacca. X-Wings can be kinda squishy, and getting an extra shot or two can turn the tide of a game. Quickdraw frequently only gets that many extra attacks. Expertise, Bistan, C-3PO, Evade title, and Engine Upgrade would fit. The extra attack might even be against a reduced-agility target.
- It'd even be technically possible to fit in a Ghost. No-upgrade Zeb Attack Shuttle, plus a Lothal Rebel with just Dorsal Turret. Eh. I don't think it'd be that great, since you'd be 1 point short of a Fire Control System + Autoblaster Turret.

Also, there are probably some cool tricks to do with the S-Foils title. You could close it, then boost ahead for the block, knowing you wouldn't have a shot anyhow, so the reduced attack dice wouldn't matter. Then flip the next turn into a T-Roll.
